This movie is already surrounded in Oscar whispers and the lovely George may find himself with more nominations come awards season.

Ryan Bingham, a corporate hatchet man who loves his life on the road but is forced to fight for his job when his company downsizes its travel budget.

He does not have a personal life and he numbs himself with sex, booze and drugs.

He is required to spend more time at home just as he is on the cusp of a goal he’s worked toward for years: reaching five million frequent flyer miles and just after he’s met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.

Set in the striking and the varied backdrops of contemporary Spain, the stunning location shoot united the writer/director with acclaimed cinematographer Christopher Doyle (In The Mood For Love) to capture amazing shots and scenic landscapes, complementing the film’s unique story, which Jarmusch is most know for.

The story follows a mysterious loner (De Bankole), a stranger to all, whose activities and workings remain meticulously outside the law. He is currently in the process of completing a job and trusts no one, while his objectives initially remain unrevealed.

His journey, paradoxically both intently focused and dreamlike, takes him not only across Spain but also through his own consciousness. The film uses no names and refers to all characters by description and appearances only.

Kyle Kingson (Pettyfer) has it all looks, intelligence, wealth and opportunity and a wicked cruel streak.

Prone to mocking and humiliating “aggressively unattractive” classmates, he zeroes in on Goth classmate Kendra, inviting her to the school’s extravagant environmental bash.

Kendra accepts, and, true to form, Kyle blows her off in a particularly savage fashion. She retaliates by casting a spell that physically transforms him into everything he despises.

Enraged by his horrible and unrecognizable appearance he confronts Kendra and learns that the only solution to the curse is to find someone that will love him as he is, a task he considers impossible.

Repulsed by his appearance, Kyle’s callous father banishes him to Brooklyn with a sympathetic housekeeper and blind tutor.

As Kyle ponders how to overcome the curse and get his old life back, he chances upon a drug addict in the act of killing a threatening dealer.

Seizing the opportunity, Kyle promises the addict freedom and safety for his daughter, Lindy (Hudgens) if she will consent to live in Kyle’s Brooklyn home.

Thus begins Kyle’s journey to discover true love in this hyper-modern retelling of the classic “Beauty and the Beast” story.

But it’s Season of the Witch that we can give you a sneak peak of today.

In the supernatural thriller Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague.

A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.

A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl.

Robert Downey Jr stars as the literary sleuth and is joined by his faithful friend Watson, played by Jude Law.

Directed by Guy Ritchie the movie follows Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson while they engage in a battle of wits and brawn with a nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England.

Sherlock Holmes is released 26th December

The movie, which was directed by Neil Marshall, was a huge success, even doing well in America, and now the sequel is almost here.
