Walt Disney Animation Studios presents the musical “The Princess and the Frog,” an animated comedy set in the great city of New Orleans.
From the creators of “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin” comes a modern twist on a classic tale, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.

Directed by Dave Bowers (Flushed Away), and written by Bowers and Timothy Hyde Harris (Kindergarten Cop). ‘Astro Boy’ is based on the manga created by Osamu Tezuka.
A thrilling tale of a true hero, Astro Boy is an all new, feature film of action, adventure, humour and art and brought to life on the big screen in breathtaking CGI animation.
Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist named Dr. Tenma (Nicolas Cage).
Powered by positive ‘blue’ energy, Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore) is endowed with super strength, X-ray vision, unbelievable speed and the ability to fly.
Embarking on a journey in search of acceptance, Astro Boy encounters many other colourful characters along the way. Through his adventures he learns the joys and emotions of being human and gains the strength to embrace his destiny.
Learning his friend and family are in danger, Astro Boy uses his awesome super powers and returns to Metro City in a valiant effort to save everything he cares about and to understand what it takes to be a hero.

He returns in a dramatic performance, many are calling it the best of his career, in Crazy Heart.
He stars as the richly comic, semi-tragic romantic anti-hero Bad Blake in the debut feature film from writer-director Scott Cooper.
Bad Blake is a broken-down, hard-living country music singer who’s had way too many marriages, far too many years on the road and one too many drinks way too many times.
And yet, Bad can’t help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician.
As he struggles down the road of redemption, Bad learns the hard way just how tough life can be on one man’s crazy heart.

Based on a true story Bullock leaves the comedy behind as she takes on a dramatic role that tells the story of Michael Oher.
Michael Oher is a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential.
At the same time, Oher’s presence in the Touhys’ lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own.
Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome.
As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes one of the top high school football prospects in the country

And one of those releases sees Amy Adams and Matthew Goode team up for comedy Leap Year.
A woman (Adams) who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, an Irish tradition which occurs every time the date February 29 rolls around, faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to Dublin.
With the help of an innkeeper, however, her cross-country odyssey just might result in her getting engaged.

From his working class roots, John Crowley has finally begun to taste success in corporate America. Supported by his beautiful wife Aileen and their three children, John is on the fast track.
But just as his career is taking off, Crowley walks away from it all when his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, are diagnosed with a fatal disease.
With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill. Together they form a bio-tech company focused on developing a life-saving drug.
One driven to prove himself and his theories, the other by a chance to save his children, this unlikely alliance eventually develops into mutual respect as they battle the medical and business establishments in a fight against the system and time.

Chelsea (Sasha Grey) is a high-priced $2,000-an-hour call girl in Manhattan, offering a ‘girlfriend experience’: she’ll dress with the client in mind, go to dinner and a movie, listen attentively to talk about work and finances, and she’ll provide sex.
It’s October, 2008: a presidential election nears and the economy is in free fall. She has a boyfriend, Chris (Chris Santos), who’s a personal trainer. We are shown five non-consecutive days in Chelsea’s life.

How To Train Your Dragon Trailer November 17, 2009

The story centers around a Viking teenager named Hiccup, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life.
The teen’s smarts and offbeat sense of humor don’t sit too well with his tribe or its chief…who just happens to be Hiccup’s father.
However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other Viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter.
But when he encounters (and ultimately befriends) an injured dragon, his world is flipped upside down, and what started out as Hiccup’s one shot to prove himself turns into an opportunity to set a new course for the future of the entire tribe.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans Images November 17, 2009
Posted by Helen in : Movies , add a commentWe all remember Harvey Keitel’s performance in Bad Lieutenant back in 1992 but in true Hollywood style the movie has had a twenty first century make-over.
Nicolas Cage is back on the big screen in the role of Terence
McDonagh alongside Val Kilmer and Eva Mendes in Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.
Terence McDonagh is a homicide detective with the New Orleans Police Department and is promoted to Lieutenant after he saves a prisoner from drowning in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
However, during his heroic act, he severely injures his back and is put on prescription pain medication.
A year later, Terence—struggling with his addictions to sex, Vicodin and cocaine—finds himself in the battle to bring down drug dealer Big Fate, who is suspected of massacring an entire family of African immigrants.
