Kathryn Bigelow made history last night as she became the first female filmmaker to scoop Best Director for her movie The Hut Locker. Despite the much talked about battle between the war drama and Avatar it was Bigelow’s film than came out on top taking six gongs, including Best Picture.

Sandra Bullock may have been the toast of tinsel town last night after scooping Best Actress at the Oscars but the night before the actress sent herself up beautifully as she turned up at the Razzies to collect her Worst Actress gong. It’s nice to see that not everyone in Hollywood takes themselves too seriously!
