Oz The Great And Powerful New Clip

The more I see of Oz The Great and Powerful the more I am looking forward to it – I have to admit not a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz.

Directed by Sam Raimi the movie is set before the classic film and delivers a completely new story.

It has been a while since we have seen Raimi in the director’s chair and he has delivered a visually stunning film that has does, much like the original, have some dark undertones.

Check out this new clip that sees James Frano and Michelle Williams travel by bubble:

Franco leads the all star cast and he and Williams are joined by Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Zach Braff.

When Oscar Diggs (Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot – fame and fortune are his for the taking – that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Kunis), Evanora (Weisz) and Glinda (Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting.

Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late.

Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity – and even a bit of wizardry – Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Oz The Great And Powerful is released 8th March.

When he is hurled into the magical Land of Oz, Oscar faces a fight-or-flight dilemma that holds the fate of a kingdom in the balance, forcing him to decide what kind of man he truly is before it is too late.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes Clips

It’s seems that we have been talking about The Rise of the Planet of the Apes for months but we finally see the movie released next week.

The movie brings together an impressive cast that includes Oscar nominee James Franco as well as Brian Cox, Tom Felton and Freida Pinto.

Directed by Rupert Wyatt this is an original story that is set in present day San Francisco but it a welcome addition to the popular Planet of the Apes movies over the years.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes is released 12th August. Take a look at some clips from the movie:
