My Choice To Watch TOWIE

I have hit a new all-time low. Last night, I was feeling optimistic and there was nothing on TV so I switched to The Only Way Is Marbs. I know, I don’t know what I was thinking, it was a pure moment of madness but even worse was I watched the entire thing. Yes. The entire hour long show. Now for the unforgivable, I actually laughed. I think I enjoyed it? I don’t know, it was funny because it was ridiculous, and the people are even more ridiculous. I hate these kind of shows anyway because I don’t like that I don’t know how much is scripted and so that throws me right away. I have to say, I don’t know his name, but the gay guy (apparently Joey Essex isn’t gay?) who wears the glasses is hilarious. So to confirm, if I ever did watch it again, it would be solely because of him, and that is it. No other reason. Definitely not because I quite enjoyed it.

TOWIE stars given the chop

It’s not long now till The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) is back on our screens and I honestly couldn’t be happier.

This show could be referred to as my guilty pleasure, but to be honest, I openly love it. I love the set up drama, I love all the fake-ery and most of all I love watching to see what Joey Essex will come out with next. The man has no boundaries, it’s great TV.

So, we’ve already lost Mark to the celebrity jungle and now Kirk had hot-footed it on over to Celebrity Big Brother, as Amy did too. And it’s been confirmed that we will also be losing two other characters/real people – Harry and Maria.

Maria has not really had a starring role in the show since she moved out of the house with Lauren Pope. She released a statement on her Twitter which says:

“I would like to be the first to announce… After a rollercoaster year and after meeting with producers today we have decided that my time on TOWIE has come to an end.

“I am happy to be leaving the show on a high after 3 series and feel I am embarking on a new chapter in my life with exciting projects both personal and professional.

“Thank you for all your support during my time on the show and I hope to continue to keep you all entertained throughout 2012!!”

Harry also took to Twitter to say his peace:

“Hiya! I really did not want you to all find out so soon but its out there, I am not in TOWIE anymore as I am moving onto different things.

“Thank you all for your support and keep following and checking out, and I will see you on all on tv again very soon. “

Hinting at the possibility that he may soon have another reality show to be on. Harry’s been on the show since the first series, but since Amy left at the end of Series 2 there hasn’t been many story lines for him to feature in, he was mainly with Gemma and the Twins – who I will be surprised if they make it into the next series.

There’s also rumours circulating that Sam Faiers may also be getting the chop, but I have to beg the producers NO! too much has changed already and it takes a while for the audience to warm up to people.

Apparently they’ve already started looking for new people to introduce and I can’t wait to see them.

Mark Wright Dating Kayla Collins

Before venturing into the I’m A Celebrity…. Jungle, noone knew who Kayla Collins was, and unless you watch ITV2 when you’re bored, you probably still have no idea who Mark Wright is. But anyway, they’re dating.

Its important to point out that this doesn’t mean Kayla is Mark’s girlfriend, because we know how often he gets himself into sticky situations when he fails to differentiate between ‘girlfriend’ and someone he hangs out with.

He’s thrilled to bits with his latest bit of stuff though, mainly because he is the ex of his footie hero Ashley Cole – yep, we think it’s a bit weird too. But he couldn’t wait to tell The Sun; “Ashley Cole was an icon to me. I grew up wanting to be just like him. Now I’m dating his ex. You can’t argue with that.”

Speaking about the actual relationship, Mark said; “It’s early days with Kayla. She’s a lovely girl and we’re having a lot of fun. We were friendly when she was going out with Ashley, who I’ve met and is a cool guy. But she’s not now, so we’ve been spending time together. I’m not starstruck by her – I’ve got more Twitter followers than her so, you know…

“But I’m officially single so I can do what I like. I’m not tied to anyone. When I’m single I’m a ladies man. I’m just doing what any 23-year-old would want to do. Girls are showing me a lot of attention. I’m a young man and you only live once so you’ve got to go for it.

“One day I’ll be an old man looking at loads of young lads getting attention and dreaming of the old days. At the end of the day, I’m going for the ride and enjoying myself. It’s a boy’s dream I’ve got here and I’m living it.”

Brilliant. Have fun kids.

Lauren Goodger Makes A Laughing Stock Of Herself

Lets face it, Lauren Goodger needs to take a long hard look at herself and make some changes…. she keeps running back to that loverat Mark Wright (even though it’s clear he doesn’t really love her) and now she’s been prancing around with no trousers on.

The Only Way Is Essex ‘star’ had a night out down the West End yesterday with her mate Layla Manoocheri who goes out with Simon Webbe – and it was this mate who (brilliantly) snapped Lauren after she randomly whipped her trousers off in the middle of the club.

Now I don’t know if Lauren was really hot or if she just wondered why on earth people weren’t giving her any attention, but we’ve got to say, she hasn’t half shed some pounds since the Christmas Special, those legs are cracking!

Anyway, she’s bought herself another five minutes of fame now, lets hope a nice guy comes along and picks her (and her trousers) up in his arms and carries her away.

The Only Way Is Essex – Lucy Vs. Lauren : Round 2

The Only Way Is Essex has become a guilty pleasure in the FemaleFirst office, and we’re so excited for the Christmas Special, that we had to take five minutes off work just to digest this latest snippet of Essex goss….

Right, so, you know how Mark Wright is constantly playing off ex-girlfriend Lauren Goodger and his new love interest Lucy Mecklenburgh? Well after their bust up at Mark & Kirk’s fight in the series finale, Lucy has gotten her claws out again all thanks to Zoo Magazine.

We, we know Mark likes Lucy, but that he’d also admit to still being in love with Lauren, and he’d secretly spend nights with his ex (according to her) and Lucy would be none the wiser, well, until she watched the following week’s episode that is…

Now that Lucy has all the essential information, she’s decided to strip off (naturally) and slag off her love rival… “Lauren doesn’t really bother me to be honest. I hate her. There’s a scoop for you!

“Everything you saw was completely genuine. I don’t think she’s a very nice person and I found her very intimidating. Maybe she’s just insecure. I think she’s like that because she knows I’m what Mark likes. I’m dark and slim, whereas she’s not dark and not, er…”

Ouch! But I’m guessing you wouldn’t like to see Lauren in just her pants right? Or would you….?

OMG! Only Way is Essex’s Lauren Goodger Is Pregnant!

OH. M. actual. G. Lucy is going to be so totally jel now that Lauren Goodger from The Only Way is Essex is, like, properly pregnant.

That’s right fans of ITV2, it looks as though the show’s star, Lauren is pregnant… and ever worse (not that we’re saying the fact that she’s up the duff is bad or anything) is that the word on the street is that it could be Mark Wright’s.

One source told The Mirror; “The news is broken to Mark as he’s training for the charity boxing match. “He’s left not knowing if the baby is his or not.”

Crikey! How exciting… more news as we get it!

What Did YOU Think Of The Only Way Is Essex Last Night?

So, The Only Way Is Essex kicked off last night, and I’ve noticed a very obvious trend in peoples views of the show… oddly, most of my ‘professional’ friends (ie. People from uni, people with careers etc) have all said how much they hated it, and turned off after about 15 minutes. Whilst my Barnsley contacts on Facebook (I don’t want to use the term ‘friends’ so lightly as they just happened to go to my school) who predominantly are on the dole and have about six kids to different fathers – I am generalising here – seemed to love it.

So, I haven’t seen it as yet as I was busy hanging out at the British Superbikes this weekend, and as a result I need YOUR views to tell me whether its worth a watch or not, if you’d like to share what you do as a profession with me, that would be great too, just to see if fans of TOWIE do have things in common.
