The actor takes on the title role in the Timur Bekmambetov directed movie and this is Abraham Lincoln like we have never seen him before.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Red Band Trailer

I have to admit that Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is one of the movies that I am looking forward to this summer as it promises to be different to any of the vampire movies that we have seen over the last couple of years.

The movie is an adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel and he has adapted his own story for the screenplay while Timur Bekmambetov is back in the director’s chair.

Yes former American President Abraham Lincoln is on the hunt from vampires – rather an interesting idea if you ask me.

First Look at Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

It’s been a while since a Timur Bekmambetov movie graced the big screen but he is set to return in 2012 with his new project Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter – a movie that he is also producing.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter sees Benjamin Walker cast in the role of Lincoln as he joins an all star cast of Mart Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper and Rufus Sewell.

President Lincoln’s mother is killed by a supernatural creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers.

Filming on the project is currently underway and we have a first look at Walker as Lincoln.
