Trouble With The Curve Clips

I am a huge fan of Clint Eastwood and he delivered another terrific performance in Trouble With The Curve – a movie that is released on DVD 20th May.

The movie sees him team up with Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake while Robert Lorenz makes his directorial debut.

Lorenz is not stranger to the world of film though as he has been a long time collaborator of Eastwood.

And to celebrate the release of the movie on DVD we have some clips for you to check out:

Gus Lobel (Eastwood) is an ailing baseball scout in his twilight years who takes his daughter, Mickey (Adams) along for one last recruiting trip.

Forced to spend time together for the first time in years, each make new discoveries – revealing long-held truths about their past and present that could change the prospects for their future.

Trouble With The Curve is released on DVD & Blu-Ray 20th May.

First Trouble with the Curve Images

It was back in 2008 that we last saw Clint Eastwood star in a movie and now he is back in front of the camera in new movie Trouble with the Curve.

The movie sees the Oscar winning filmmaker and actor team up with Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake while Robert Lorenz is in the director’s chair.

Lorenz has worked as Eastwood’s producing partner for many years on projects such as Million Dollar Baby and with this movie he is set to make his directorial debut.

Entertainment Weekly have the first two images from the movie:

First Superman Image

Comic book movies really are the big box office draw at the moment and one that many, including myself, is really looking forward to is Superman: Man of Steel.

The movie is set to hit the big screen in 2013, yes I know that’s a bit of a wait, with Brit actor Henry Cavill taking over the role of Clark Kent.

The actor is set to lead an all star cast that includes Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costern and Laurence Fishburne.

Zack Snyder is in the director’s chair this time around with Batman filmmaker Christopher Nolan on executive producing duties.

More The Fighter Clips

I know that we have had our fair share of boxing movies over the years but The Fighter is one of the early movies of 2011 that I’m really looking forward to.

The movie sees Mark Wahlberg join forces with Christian Bale and Amy Adams in the David O’Russell directed project.

Wahlberg stars in the inspirational docudrama exploring the remarkable rise of Massachusetts-born lightweight title winner “Irish” Micky Ward.

The movie follows a determined pugilist whose career in the ring was shepherded by his loyal half-brother, Dicky (Christian Bale) — a hard-living boxer-turned-trainer whose own career in the ring was nearly sent down for the count due to drugs and crime

Perennial underdog Irish Micky rebounded from a disheartening series of defeats to win both the WBU Intercontinental Lightweight title and the WBU Light Welterweight title thanks to a fierce combination of determination and hard work.

First Leap Year Images

It’s hard to believe that 2009, as well as the noughties decade is almost at a close, but we have no time to dwell as we look forward to 2010 releases.

And one of those releases sees Amy Adams and Matthew Goode team up for comedy Leap Year.

A woman (Adams) who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, an Irish tradition which occurs every time the date February 29 rolls around, faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to Dublin.

With the help of an innkeeper, however, her cross-country odyssey just might result in her getting engaged.

Meryl Streep Talks Julie & Julia

It’s only September and Meryl Streep is already the red hot favourite for the Best Actress Oscar, apparently is due to the lack stong female lead performances so far this year.

And it’s her performance in new movie Julie & Julia that is causing stir as Streep takes on the role of famous cook Julia Child.

Julia Child and Julie Powell – both of whom wrote memoirs – find their lives intertwined.

Though separated by time and space, both women are at loose ends… until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible

Take a look at Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and director Nora Efron talk about their new movie.
