It started pouring with rain when I was out on my lunch break today so on my way back to the office I popped into Peacocks to cheer myself up due to the fact my hair now resembled a disasterous cockscrew perm, given it’s ability to curl crazily at the slightest hint of any moisture in the air. I love Peacocks, it’s cheap and ok, it’s not exactley as fashion forward as Topshop, but if you have a little rummage you can find some amazing bargins. Today was my lucky day.

I’ve been after a Balenciaga style blazer for ages after repeatedly seeing THE jacket of the season over and over again in magazines. Loads of copies started appearing in shops but one of the best, and most affordable, was the £20 dark blue blazer from Peacocks. Obvioously it sold out straight away and every time I went in to have a look they were either all gone or there were none that fitted me. I pretty much gave up hope of getting one, after all it’s been about a month now since they first came in.

Then I went into Peacocks today, and behold, there was a beautiful dark blue blazer with nice gold buttons in all its glory. And yes! there was one left in my size too. Who cares about the rain now – I have THE jacket! I had a little look around the rest of the shop but to be honest I was more excited about getting back to the office and showing it off.

But wait, it gets better. When I went to pay for it I was politely informed by the sales assisstant that it has now gone down to £10. So it’s not just a blazer, it’s a bargin blazer.

Definitely made my lunchtime a whole lot better.
