A truly fashionable affair

I love it when these types of films come out because it means the promo tour is going to filled with plenty of amazing fashion choices, and the LA premiere of What to Expect When You’re Expecting did not disappoint.

Not only did we have the beauties, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Anna Kendrick to fawn over. Chace Crawford also made an appearance – eye candy that we love.

Each of the ladies opted for very different fashion choices, and each was as beautiful as the last. No one tried to outshine the other.

Brooklyn Decker - Her Giambattsta Valli Spring 2012 dress gave the perfect beach, laidback vibe. Which she obviously paired with loose waves. I love the lemon and lime colour on her.

Elizabeth Banks  - The actress has been on a roll the past few months, each of her red carpet appearances have left me in awe. Her Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 is beautiful, she added a matching knuckle-duster clutch.

Cameron Diaz - Once again she opted for a Little Black Dress, this time Valentino. I don’t roll my eyes at this look though because I really love her nude Lanvin Pumps and the pops of colour she added on her nails and lips. As always, the most enviable figure.

Jennifer Lopez - Diva Lopez is actually a lot less flash than I was expecting. I love this style on her and think that this Maria Lucia Hohan dress would sit perfectly well in my wardrobe. Jennifer is the latest star to have a statement lip, a trend which was prevalent at the Met Gala last week. She looks super sexy, like always.

Anna Kendrick - There’s not much else to say when a star wears Elie Saab. His dresses are INCREDIBLE. That’s it, that’s all there is to say.

Gossip Girl is back…. finally

I’ve caught up on the new episode of Gossip Girl last night, I didn’t watch it on Wednesday night because I chose to see my girls for a spot of food and wine – now you can see why I did what I did.

Anyway, it was most certainly worth the wait. I LOVE Gossip Girl. Form the fashion, to the drama, to the boys. What more can a girl ask for? Well, maybe a little more of Nate Archibald topless wouldn’t go amiss.

We ended Season 4 with Serena landing a job in the movie business, Nate and Chuck went on a ‘Lost Tour’, Blair set off to Monaco with her Prince Louis, Vanessa took herseld to Barcelona after she gave Dan’s secret novel to a literary agent – who loved it by the way – and Dan was about to mope around all summer over both Blair and Serena. Oh and we can’t forget the end scene, Dorata empties the bin in Serena and Blair’s joint bathroom, the bin that holds a positive pregnancy test. Who’s with child?

We’re still kept guessing at the beginning of the episode as both Serena and Blair refuse champagne – with valid reasons, and then we’re thrown off course when Dorota announces that she’s expecting her second child. But by the end of the episode all is revealed. I won’t say here in case you haven’t seen it. But it does open up another whole can of worms – this is why I love this show.

Dan also learns that his book is soon to be published, which means for him nothing but disaster. Because, as we learnt last series, this novel proves that he always wanted ‘in’ to the Upper East Side circle, maybe even more than Little Jen.

Nate has a run-in with Elizabeth Hurley – who’s name in the series remains a mystery for now. Classic Nate going with the older woman, but she does look hot. And I can’t wait for her to make her entrance in New York, she’s going to rival Serena with the thigh-high split dresses. I’m sure this story line will only get better.

Chuck has spent the summer getting ‘over’ Blair, only to receive a ‘Save-the-date’ card to her wedding. He does look considerably happier, which Serena is only to quick to notice, but how long will this last?

Oh and Blair’s going to be in Vogue Paris. Jealous? Me? Never….

Twelve Trailer

Twelve sees Joel Schumacher return to the director’s chair for the first time since Town Creek last year as he brings together a cast that includes Emma Roberts, 50 Cent and Chace Crawford.

Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Nick McDonell, written when he was only 17 years old, Twelve is a chilling chronicle of privileged urban adolescence on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Set over spring break, the story follows White Mike, a kid with unlimited potential, who has dropped out of his senior year of high school and sells marijuana to his rich, spoiled peers.

When his cousin is brutally murdered in an east Harlem project, and his best friend is arrested for the crime, White Mike is hurled on a collision course with his own destiny.
