Charlize Theron’s Buzz Cut

Charlize Theron has finally revealed the full effect of her buzz cut after hiding it under hats for weeks.

She’s chopped her lovely blonde locks off for her role in the new Mad Max film in which she will star opposite Tom Hardy (lucky, lucky, woman) and I couldn’t commend her more.

I would never ever shave my head, and I don’t think many other women would either, so it’s super brave of her to do it and, thankfully, she actually suits it.

To be fair, she could have hair like a troll and she would still look good, so it doesn’t really surprise me that she looks good with no hair.

I think it’s safe to say that you shouldn’t try this buzz cut thing if your hair is your best feature, or if you have a pointy head. Not a good look.

Rosie Joining the Cast of Mad Max

People say looks don’t get you everywhere, but in this case that statement is false. Somehow, someone somewhere was given permission to cast Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the new Mad Max movie. Given her horrific performance in Transformers, I can only assume that it’s her looks that got her that part because it cannot have been based on her acting abilities, well, lack of. She’s supposedly playing one of the wives so her part should be relatively small (fingers crossed), come on though, how can you put her in the same film as Oscar winner Charlize Theron? Someone needs to be cut from that casting team pronto. Stick to the modelling Rosie, I don’t want any more films I’m excited about to become tainted with bad acting.

Snow White And The Huntsman Featurette

If the superhero movie genre doesn’t tickle your fancy this summer then perhaps the retelling of a classic fairy story will.

Gone are the singing dwarves and the animals that can do the washing up as Snow White and the Huntsman is a darker take on the story then we have ever seen before.

Charlize Theron stars as the evil Queen Ravenna in the movie and this latest video take you behind the scenes and into her throne room:

Kristen Stewart will take on the role of Snow White while Chris Hemsworth, who is having a busy summer, will play the huntsman..

Snow White is the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen – and the queen is not out to destroy her.

But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her.

Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

Snow White and the Huntsman is released 1st June

New Prometheus Images

Prometheus looks set to be one of the must see sci-fi movies not only of this summer but for the whole of 2012 as Ridley Scott returns to this genre.

The filmmaker has been behind classics such as Alien and Blade Runner and now he is venturing into space once again – if you haven’t seen the trailer then you really should check it out because it just looks epic.

The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.

And Ridley Scott movies always attract the biggest names and Prometheus is no different as Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce are all on the cast list.

Take a look at some new images from the movie:

New Snow White and the Huntsman Trailer

Snow White and the Huntsman is the latest fairy tale to be adapted for the big screen in the boom in this genre in both cinema as well as on TV.

But this is Snow White like you have never seen her before as director Rupert Sanders has delivered a dark and somewhat grim take on a well known tale.

Yes Snow White is no wishy washy woman in this movie she is a warrior who is ready to take back what is her’s – I can’t wait to see Kristen Stewart take on this very different role.

But the new trailer for the movie has been released and we have it here for you to take a look at:

Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her.

But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who was dispatched to kill her.

More Snow White & The Huntsman Images

Snow White is set to be one of the standout movies this summer – mainly because it is not a comic book movie.

No instead is a new take on a fairytale, a genre that is enjoying quite a lot of success of late, Alice In Wonderland was a billion dollar box office hit.

Anyway the movie stars Kristen Stewart take on the role of snow White while she is joined on the cast list by Charlize Theron & Chris Hemsworth, who is going to have a very busy summer.

I have to admit of the two Snow White movie set to hit the big screen this year, the other being Mirror Mirror, this is the one that I am looking forward to the most.

If you haven’t seen the trailer than check it out as this film is dark and mysterious – it really isn’t about singing dwarves in a forest.

The movie follows the Huntsman who is ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed but he winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.

Snow White and the Huntsman is released 1st June.

There are a couple of Snow White projects set to hit the big screen over the course of the year and it’s Snow White and the Huntsman that I am particularly looking forward to.

Kristen Stewart temporarily leaves the Twilight world behind to take on the lead role of kick ass looking Snow White.

I think it’s fair to say that this is not the story that we are use to hearing, which is great!!

Chris Hemsworth is also on the cast list as the Hunstman, looking rather brooding in these images it has to be said, while Oscar winner Charlize Theron will play the evil Queen.

In this epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Theron) who is out to destroy her.

But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the one girl threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Hemsworth) who was dispatched to kill her.

Snow White and the Huntsman is released 1st June

Latest Prometheus Poster

Now I don’t know about you but Prometheus is one of the summer movies that I am really looking forward to.

The movie marks the return of not only Ridley Scott to the director’s chair but his return to the world of sci-fi.

And once again he has assembled an impressive cast to explore the secrets of space as Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green & Charlize Theron are all on board.

With Prometheus, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe.

There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Prometheus is released 1st June. And we have the latest poster for you to take a look at:

Young Adult Clips

Charlize Theron’s new movie Young Adult has been receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics since it hit the festival circuit last year.

So it was a bit of a surprise when the movie and Theron’s central performance were overlooked when the Oscar nominations were revealed last week.

This week sees the movie released in UK cinemas as it’s great to see Oscar winner Theron back on the big screen.

And Young Adult is being called the best performance by the actress since she won that Best Actress Academy Award for Monster.

The movie is directed by Jason Reitman, his first directorial outing since Up In The Air, while the script is penned by Diablo Cody.

Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson).

When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Patton Oswalt) who hasn’t quite gotten over high school, either.

This movie kicks off a busy year for the actress as we will also be seeing her in Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus.

Young Adult is out now.
