Young Players in Hollywood

These lot have recently been catapulted in catasphropic stardom, not only for their acting ability but the bold choices they make on the red carpet. Flawless doesn’t begin to describe some of their personal style.

First up we have Chloe Moretz. The 14-year-old has been around for a fair few years but it was only since 2010 and her role in Kick Ass that she started to grace the pages of fashion magazines. With an up-coming film with Blake Lively, Hick, there is a chance that her fashion choice will not flounder but become only more beautiful.

Hailiee Steinfield got to show us plenty of her red carpet style after her critically acclaimed performance in True Grit. With plenty of nominations over the course of the Awards Season she made a huge number of appearences each time looking beautiful and age appropriate. The 14-year-old was recently named as the new face of Miu Miu and managed to turn my distaste for the Spring collection into a fondess when she wore one of Miuccia Prada’s designs.

Elle Fanning has managed to lose the shadow of her older sister Dakota since she starred in Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere late last year. The 13-year-old was crowned as the face to watch by many fashion bloggers and has yet to prove them wrong on the red carpet. Her fresh face and bright blonde hair ensure she always shines in front of the camera and her impeccable wardrobe filled with everything from Valentino Courture to Marchesa make her the envy of every woman all the world over.

Saoirse Ronan is nothing short of an elegant beauty. The 17-year-old was born in New York, but moved to Ireland when she was just three. With two Bafta nominations already under her belt this starlet will no doubt go far. Her recent role in Hanna drew many comparisons to Natalie Portman’s role in Leon, Saoirse can only dream to have the career that Portman has.

More Let Me In Clips

Chloe Moretz shot to stardom earlier this year when she took on the role of Hit Girl in Kick Ass but now she is back in a very different role.

She stars as Abby in an American adaptation of Let The Right One In, a Swedish movie that was released last year. Directed by Matt Reeves, Let Me In also stars Kodi Smit-McPhee and Richard Jenkins and looks set to be one of the more interesting movies of the autumn.

Twelve-year old Owen is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex.

His only friend is his new neighbour Abby, an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father.

A frail, troubled child about Owens’s age, Abby emerges from her heavily curtained apartment only at night and always barefoot, seemingly immune to the bitter winter elements.

Recognizing a fellow outcast, Owen opens up to her and before long, the two have formed a unique bond. When a string of grisly murders puts the town on high alert, Abby’s father disappears, and the terrified girl is left to fend for herself.

Still, she repeatedly rebuffs Owen’s efforts to help her and her increasingly bizarre behavior leads the imaginative Owen to suspect she’s hiding an unthinkable secret.

Let Me In is released 5th November. Take a look at some more clips from the movie:

New Let Me In Posters

It’s only a handful of months since Sweedish movie Let The Right one in graced the big screen but Hollywood has got hold of the story and produced a new movie Let Me In.

Now I’m not always a fan of foreighn movies being adapted by America, usually becasue they are never as good, but Let Me In looks to be as intriguing as the original.

Plus the movie does have one big thing in it’s favour and that is having Chloe Moretz, who has shot to fame in Kick Ass, on the cast list as she takes on a very different role.

Moretz stars as Abby, a mysterious 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen. Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbor.

Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.

Let Me In, a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) and produced by legendary British horror brand Hammer Films, is based on the best-selling Swedish novel Lat den Ratte Komma (Let The Right One In) by John Ajvide Lindqvist, and the highly-acclaimed film of the same name.

Let Me In Is released 29th October. Take a look at the new poster for the movie:

First Let Me In Trailer

Last year’s Let The Right One In was one of the best movies of 2009, if you haven’s had a chance to see it then you really should try to catch it as it was a great movie.

But in true U.S. fashion the movie, which was a Swedish production, is getting the American makeover as the film, Let Me In, is about to be released.

An alienated 12-year-old boy befriends a mysterious young newcomer in his small New Mexico town, and discovers an unconventional path to adulthood in “Let Me In,” a haunting and provocative thriller written and directed by filmmaker Matt Reeves (“Cloverfield”).

Twelve-year old Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex.

His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Richard Jenkins).

Can someone please tell me why the American film industry feel the need to remake every foreign film? Because that’s what has happened with Let Me In.

Now Let The Right One In was one of the best foreign movies to hit the screen last year, a Sweedish film that was an adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel.

And surprise, surprise the movie is being remade this year starring Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee, are Americans unable to read subtitles?

The movie follows a bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.
