Brittany Murphy, star of films such as 8 Mile, Clueless and Don’t Say A Word has died at her home in Los Angeles this morning.

The actress was just 32 years old.

Early reports suggest that the star went into full cardiac arrest at around 8am this morning and could not be revived by paramedics.

A 911 call was made by her husband Simon Monjack, at 8.00am according to the Los Angeles City Fire Department, and Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
