Colin Farrell is back on the big screen this week as he leads the cast in revenge thriller Dead Man Down.

The movie sees Farrell team up with director Niel Arden Oplev while Noomi Rapace, Dominic Cooper and Terrence Howard are also on the cast list.

In this latest video the cast talk about the movie and their characters:

When the body of a gang member is discovered in the freezer of crime boss Alphonse’s (Howard) mansion – a clear message has been sent- or has it?

As the gang reacts, members Darcy (Cooper) and Victor (Farrell) take it upon themselves to dig further into who is after Alphonse.

As a further complication to the gang, neighbour Beatrice (Rapace) discovers Victor has a dark secret and contracts him into a scheme to seek out her own vengeance.

With the violence escalating Alphonse begins to suspect that revenge is closer than he thought.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Images

Now I know that we have had a whole host of vampire movies over the last couple of years but Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter promises to be a little different.

Yes former American President Abraham Lincoln is on the hunt from vampires – rather an interesting idea if you ask me.

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov the movie is an adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel, he has penned the screenplay.

President Lincoln’s mother is killed by a supernatural creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers.

Benjamin Walker takes on the role of President Lincoln and he is supported by Rufus Sewell, Dominic Cooper and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is released 2nd August

My Week With Marilyn Trailer

Michelle Williams makes her return tot he big screen next month with her new movie My Week With Marilyn, a movie that is already being talked about for a possible Oscar nomination.

She takes on the role of Marilyn Monroe in the movie and leads an all star cast that includes Kenneth Branagh, Eddie Redmayne, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper and Emma Watson.

In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark, just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of ‘The Prince and the Showgirl’, the film that famously united Sir Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe, who was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller.

Nearly 40 years on, his diary account ‘The Prince, the Showgirl and Me’ was published, but one week was missing and this was published some years later as ‘My Week with Marilyn’ – this is the story of that week.

When Arthur Miller leaves England, the coast is clear for Colin to introduce Marilyn to some of the pleasures of British life; an idyllic week in which he escorted a Monroe desperate to get away from her retinue of Hollywood hangers-on and the pressures of work.

My Week With Marilyn is released 11th November. Take a look at the first trailer for the movie:

The Devil’s Double Images

Dominic Cooper takes on a very different role this week with The Devil’s Double as the movie sees him playing Uday Hussein in the new movie.

Baghdad 1987, Latif (Cooper) is taken to see his former schoolmate Uday (also played by Cooper), eldest son to Saddam Hussein.

Latif is told that a great honour had been bestowed upon him: because of the great likeness between them, he has been chosen to be Uday’s ‘fiday’ – his body double. Trapped, tortured and fearful for the safety of his family Latif has no choice but to comply.

A chilling vision of the House of Saddam Hussein comes to life as Latif is forced to become part of Uday’s world, witness to the horror of his insane life of debauchery, excess and brutality.

A world entrenched in betrayal and corruption and an experience for which he almost pays with his life on more than one occasion.

The Devil’s Double is released 10th August. Take a look at the new images from the film:

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy & The Devil’s Double Posters

This September the adaptation of John le Carré’s novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy comes to the big screen – and it is a cast to die for.

Gary Oldman joins forces with Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hury, Ciaran Hinds, Mark Strong and Benedict Cumberbatch in what promises to be one of the best political dramas of the year.

Set in the 1970s, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy finds George Smiley (Gary Oldman), a recently retired MI6 agent, doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service.

However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of the Circus, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage.

Tasked with investigating which of his trusted former colleagues has chosen to betray him and their country, Smiley narrows his search to four suspects – all experienced, urbane, successful agents – but past histories, rivalries and friendships make it far from easy to pinpoint the man who is eating away at the heart of the British establishment.

Baghdad 1987, Latif Yahia (Dominic Cooper) is taken to see his former schoolmate Uday (also played by Cooper), eldest son to Saddam Hussein.

Latif is told that a great honour had been bestowed upon him: because of the great likeness between them, he has been chosen to be Uday’s ‘fiday’ – his body double. Trapped, tortured and fearful for the safety of his family Latif has no choice but to comply.

New Captain America: The First Avenger Images

There are now just over two weeks until the third Marvel movie of the summer hits the big screen… of course I am talking about Captain America: The First Avenger.

Marvel movies have dominated the box office in recent weeks with Thor and X-Men: First Class no only finding success but they have also been really great movies.

Let’s hope that that trend continues as Chris Evans leads an all star cast in, what I hope, will be first of many movies in this franchise.

It sees that big named stars can’t help but jump in the comic book movie wago as Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper, Hugo Weaving and Hayley Atwell all star.

After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals.

Evans is already reprising the role in Tbe Avengers, which will be released next summer, and sees him team up with Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo and jeremy Renner.

Captain America: The First Avenger is released 29th July. Take a look at more images from the movie:

The Devil’s Double Trailer

Dominic Cooper has been mixing and matching his roles in recent years going from the likes of History Boys to Mamma Mia, Tamara Drewe to Captain America: The First Avenger.

But he hasn’t only got the Marvel movie on the cards this summer but he is also set to take on the roles of Latif Yahia and Uday Hussein in The Devil’s Double.

Baghdad, the playground for the rich and infamous, where anything can be bought – but for a price.

This is Uday Hussein’s world and with his depraved lust for debauchery and immorality, he helps himself to whatever turns him on.

When army lieutenant Latif Yahia, is summoned to Saddam’s palace, he is faced with an impossible request, to be Uday’s ‘fiday’, his body double, or have his family condemned to death.

In a world entrenched in betrayal and corruption knowing who to trust becomes a matter of life or death for Latif, as he battles to escape from his forced existence.

The Devil’s Double is released 12th August – take a look at the trailer for the movie:

FilmClub At Tamara Drewe Premiere

Ahead of the release of the hotly anticipated new Brit flick Tamera Drewe, Filmclub – the nationwide after-school initiative and experts in films for young people – took 17-year old Filmclub member Sarah to the UK premiere to interview the stars of the film.

Sarah from The Boswells School in London became a junior reporter for the day and joined the UK press on the red carpet at the star-studded premiere to interview Gemma Arterton, Dominic Cooper, Tamsin Greig, Jessica Barden and Charlotte Christie. She also interviewed Benedict Cumberbatch, the star of BBC One’s new drama Sherlock.

Tamara Drewe is just the latest movie in what has been a busy year for Arterton as she found box office success with big budget blockbusters Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

When Tamara Drewe sashays back to the bucolic village of her youth, life for the locals is thrown upside down. Tamara — once an ugly duckling — has been transformed into a devastating beauty (with help from plastic surgery).

As infatuations, jealousies, love affairs and career ambitions collide among the inhabitants of the neighboring farmsteads, Tamara sets a contemporary comedy of manners into play using the oldest magic in the book: sex appeal.
