Your Sister’s Sister Clips

Emily Blunt may have starred in Five Year Engagement last week but this week she is back with another new movie Your Sister’s Sister.

The movie marks the return of Lynn Shelton to the director’s chair for the first time since Humpday, a movie that did incredibly well at the Sundance Film Festival.

Not only has Shelton directed but she has also penned the screenplay to the comedy/drama.

Blunt leads the cast but Mark Duplass and Rosemarie DeWitt are on there as well in what looks set to be a moving and emotional movie.

Lost in an emotional funk one year after his brother’s death, Jack (Mark Duplass) takes his best friend Iris (Emily Blunt) up on her offer for a reflective week of solitude at her family’s remote island retreat.

Upon arriving at the house, Jack discovers that Iris’ sister Hannah (Rosemarie DeWitt) had the same idea, and the two spend an awkward evening together.

Iris shows up the next morning unannounced, setting in motion an emotionally twisted tale of sisters, brothers, and best friends.

Shelton once again honestly explores the complexities of interpersonal relationships while gently poking fun at her characters’ predicaments.

Your Sister’s Sister is out now.

Salmon Fishing In The Yemen TV Spots

The lovely Emily Blunt has already had a hit movie so far this year, in the form of The Muppets, but she looks set to have another with her latest project.

The actress is set to join forces with Ewan McGregor for Salmon Fishing In The Yemen, which is based on Paul Torday’s novel.

And we have two new TV spots for the movie that hint at just how charming & funny film this promises to be.

The movie is directed by Lasse Hallström while Simon Beaufoy, the man behind the adaptation of Slumdog Millionaire, has penned the script.

The film stars Ewan McGregor as Fred Jones, a fisheries expert and academic who works for the British government.

When he’s approached by Harriet Chetwode-Talbot (Emily Blunt) with a plan to introduce salmon into the waterways of Yemen for the purpose of sport fishing, he laughs off the scheme, claim-ing it impossible.

Harriet acts as the British representative of an amiable and benevolent sheikh (Amr Waked), who fulfils his love of fishing on frequent trips to his estate in the ruggedly gorgeous Scottish highlands.

While Fred ponders the idea, the pro¬posal catches the ear of the British prime minister’s spokesperson, Bridget Maxwell (Kristin Scott Thomas.

Desperate to detract attention from some unwanted publicity, Bridget sees Harriet’s idea as the perfect opportunity to promote what will appear to be a heart¬felt story of British goodwill in the Middle East.

Despite Fred’s protests, he soon finds himself working on a project that seems not only frivolous but absolutely unfeasible in the arid land of Yemen. His scepticism is matched only by the sheikh’s boundless optimism.

As the mission begins to suc¬ceed, Fred grows closer to Harriet. Despite the many obstacles that stand in the way of their romance, their relationship affords an unexpected and welcome sense of hope for two lonely individuals.

Salmon Fishing In The Yemen is released 20th April.
