The Wolverine Motion Poster

We are HUGE Hugh Jackman fans here at FemaleFirst and he is set to reprise the role of Logan with The Wolverine.

The Wolverine is the second standalone movie for the character and comes four years after the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

And while they are yet to release a trailer for the film a motion picture has been revealed:

The movie sees Jackman reunites with James Mangold for the first time since Kate And Leopold.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan.

Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed.

Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine is released 25th July 2013.

Hugh Jackman & James Mangold Chat About The Wolverine

Hugh Jackman and James Mangold chatted to fans live on the set of The Wolverine about the new movie.

Filming is still underway on the second standalone movie for the X-Men character and the duo give us little hints about what we can expect from the film:

The movie is set after all of the X-Men films and sees Logan at his most vulnerable.

This is the first Wolverine movie since 2009 and reunites Jackman with director Mangold for the first time since Kate & Leopold.

The Wolverine will hit the big screen next summer and will be one of the movies not to miss in 2013.

The Wolverine is released 25th July.

More Knight & Day Clips

Knight and Day has performed a little disappointingly in the U.S. but the film, which reunites Tom Cruise with Cameron Diaz, hits UK cinemas this week.

Directed by James Mangold, who brought us Walk The Line and 3:10 To Yuma, the movie follows June Havens who finds her everyday life tangled with that of a secret agent who has realized he isn’t supposed to survive his latest mission.

As their campaign to stay alive stretches across the globe, they soon learn that all they can count on is each other.

Cruise and Diaz are joined by an all star cast of Peter Sarsgaard, Viola Davis, Maggie Grace and Paul Dano.

The movie is released on 6th August but here are a couple of clips to feast your eyes on:
