Hummingbird TV Spot

You have got to love a bit of Jason Statham and the British actor is set to return to the big screen this summer with his new movie Hummingbird.

The movie sees Statham team up with Steven Knight as he makes his directorial debut with this movie.

Knight is best known as an Oscar winning screenwriter and has also penned the script as well as making the leap into filmmaking.

And we have a great new TV spot for the movie for you to take a look at:

Statham is joined on the cast list by Lee Asquith-Coe, Vicky McClure and Ian Pirie.

Living on the streets after going on the run from a military court-martial, Joey (Statham) is a damaged ex-special forces soldier trapped in London’s criminal underworld.

But when opportunity enables him to assume another man’s identity, he is transformed into an avenging angel.

Hummingbird is released 28th June.

Parker International Poster

Jason Statham is a bit of a fave here in the FemaleFirst office and he is set to return to the big screen next year with Parker.

He returns to the crime/thriller as he teams up with director Taylor Hackford and Jennifer Lopez.

And we have the international poster from the movie for you to check out:

Parker (Jason Statham) is a professional thief who lives by a personal code of ethics: Don’t steal from people who can’t afford it and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead.

Determined to make sure they regret it, Parker tracks them to Palm Beach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever.

Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), a savvy insider, who’s short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition. Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.

Parker is released 8th March 2013

New The Expendables 2 Poster

The Expendables 2 promises to be one of the most action packed movies of summer 2012 as some of the greatest names in the genre once again come together to kick some ass.

Now I will happily admit that I was a fan of the 2010 film as it did exactly what you expected it to and Expendables 2 looks set to do the same.

Sylvester Stallone is back as Barney Ross and he is joined on the cast list once again by the likes of Jason Statham and Jet Li.

We only briefly saw Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger two years ago but second time around it looks like there will be much bigger roles for these action stars.

And Jean Claude Van Damme and Liam Hemsworth are just a couple of the new faces that are on the cast list this time around.

Take a look at the latest poster for the movie:

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Nan Yu) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job.

The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them.

Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world.

But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

The Expendables 2 is released 16th August

The Expendables 2 New Pics

The Expendables 2 is one of the movies that I am looking forward to this summer after being a fan of the first film a couple of years ago.

The Expendables was a movie that brought a whole host of action actors together and then saw them kick everyone’s ass – just as you would expect them to – and this time around the movie and the cast list promises to be bigger and better.

Sylvester Stallone is back, although he is not directing this time as Simon West is in the chair, while Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren are all back.

And while we caught a glimpse of Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger first time around with the second movie the pair of them have much bigger roles.

Of course a new movie means new characters so Liam Hemsworth, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme are the three big names to join the cast list.

After Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and soul of the Expendables, is brutally murdered on a mission, his comrades swear to avenge him.

They’re not the only ones who want blood. Tool’s beautiful young and wild daughter Fiona embarks on her own revenge mission, complicating matters when she is captured and ransomed by a ruthless dictator plotting to destroy a resistance movement.

Now Barney and the Expendables must risk everything to save her and humanity.

The Expendables is released 17th August.

New Clip From Safe

Jason Statham is back on the big screen and kicking more baddie ass this weekend as he leads the cast in Safe.

Not content with just making one enemy Statham is battling on all sides in his new action flick as he tries to protect a young girl.

If you haven’t made it to the cinema to catch Statham in action then here is a new clip from the movie for you to take a look at:

Safe is the first movie for the Brit actor in 2012 as he teams up with director Boaz Yakin, who also penned the screenplay.

But keep your eyes peeled for more Statham action later this year as he is set to return for the Expendables sequel.

Safe is out now.

First The Expendables 2 Trailer

Now I don’t know about you but I was a big fan of The Expendables when it hit the big screen back in 2010, it did exactly what is said on the tin and that was kick some ass.

So it’s unsurprising really that Sly Stallone and co are back two years later to kick some more bad guys into touch.

And we have the first trailer for the movie for you to take a quick look at – it is awesome!!

Stallone is not in the director’s chair this time around as that job has fallen to Simon West.

However the Hollywood hardman does lead a pretty awesome cast as Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jean Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and Liam Hemsworth are all aboard.

Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat.

The Expendables 2 is released 17th August.
