The Expendables 2 New Pics

The Expendables 2 is one of the movies that I am looking forward to this summer after being a fan of the first film a couple of years ago.

The Expendables was a movie that brought a whole host of action actors together and then saw them kick everyone’s ass – just as you would expect them to – and this time around the movie and the cast list promises to be bigger and better.

Sylvester Stallone is back, although he is not directing this time as Simon West is in the chair, while Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren are all back.

And while we caught a glimpse of Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger first time around with the second movie the pair of them have much bigger roles.

Of course a new movie means new characters so Liam Hemsworth, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme are the three big names to join the cast list.

After Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and soul of the Expendables, is brutally murdered on a mission, his comrades swear to avenge him.

They’re not the only ones who want blood. Tool’s beautiful young and wild daughter Fiona embarks on her own revenge mission, complicating matters when she is captured and ransomed by a ruthless dictator plotting to destroy a resistance movement.

Now Barney and the Expendables must risk everything to save her and humanity.

The Expendables is released 17th August.

First The Expendables 2 Trailer

Now I don’t know about you but I was a big fan of The Expendables when it hit the big screen back in 2010, it did exactly what is said on the tin and that was kick some ass.

So it’s unsurprising really that Sly Stallone and co are back two years later to kick some more bad guys into touch.

And we have the first trailer for the movie for you to take a quick look at – it is awesome!!

Stallone is not in the director’s chair this time around as that job has fallen to Simon West.

However the Hollywood hardman does lead a pretty awesome cast as Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jean Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and Liam Hemsworth are all aboard.

Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat.

The Expendables 2 is released 17th August.

The Expendables 2 Poster

I have to admit that I was a big fan of The Expendables as it did exactly what is said on the tin and it was a huge amount of fun.

So was great news to hear that a sequel was in the pipeline and we have a first poster for you to take a look at.

Sylvester Stallone is back, however he will not be directing the project this year, which Jason Statham and Jet Li are just two of the returning names.

Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger had bit parts in the first movie but it seems that their roles are set to be much bigger – Jean Claude Van Damme is also a new face on the cast list.

Simon West is in the directors chair this time around and the movie promises to be a rip-roaring ride.

New The Expendables Clip

Now I don’t know about you but I have to admit that I’m looking forward to Slyvester Stallone’s new movie The Expandables, which hits the big screen in a couple of weeks.

Stallone is back behind the camera, as well as starring in the movie, for the first time since Rambo and he has brought together an impressive cast that includes Jason Stathan, Jet Li, Mickey Rouke, Bruce Willis, the list goes on.

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) is a man with nothing to lose. Fearless and void of emotion, he is the Leader, the Sage and the Strategist of this tight-knit band of men who live on the fringe.

His only attachment is to his pickup truck, his seaplane and his team of loyal modern-day warriors. His is a true cynic who describes what he does as “removing those hard to get at stains”.

The team behind him is made up of Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), former SAS and a savant with anything that has a blade; Yin Yang (Jet Li), a master at close-quarter combat; Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), who has known Barney for ten years and is a long-barrel weapons specialist; Toll Road (Randy Couture), a skilled demolitions expert and considered the intellect of the group; and Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), a combat veteran and an expert in precision sniping who struggles with his own demons.

We have a new clip for you to take a look at and for any of you Jason Statham fans, of which I am one, you are gonna love this:

New Expendables Clips

You have got to love a bit of Sylvester Stallone right? He’s back on the big screen next month with his new movie The Expendables, which brings together a rather impressive cast.

Yes Stallone, who also directs the movie, is joined by Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger who, quite frankly, are all there to kick some butt!

When the mysterious Church offers Barney a job no one else would take, Barney and his team embark on what appears to be a routine mission: overthrow General Gaza (David Zayas), the murderous dictator of the small island country of Vilena and end the years of death and destruction inflicted on its people.

On a reconnaissance mission to Vilena, Barney and Christmas meet their contact Sandra (Giselle Itie), a local freedom-fighter with a dark secret.

They also come to learn who their true enemy is: rogue ex-CIA operative James Monroe (Eric Roberts) and his henchman Paine (Steve Austin).

When things go terribly wrong, Barney and Christmas are forced to leave Sandra behind, essentially giving her a death sentence.

Haunted by this failure, Barney convinces the team to return to Vilena to rescue the hostage and finish the job he started. And to perhaps save a soul: his own.

The Expendables is released 19th August. Take a look at some new clips from the movie:

The Expendables 60 Second Trailer

Now I admit that I have never been the biggest fan of Sylvester Stallone over the years but The Expendables looks like it could just be one of the most entertaining movies of the summer.

Now anything with Jason Statham in is good by me, except War that was bloody awful, anyway Stallone directs as well as stars and he has brought together an impressive cast.

Stallone and Statham join Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenneger, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts and Steve Austin in this action packed movie.

Short, Action Packed The Expendables Trailer

It seems that Sylvester Stallone is never happy in a movie unless he is kicking someone’s ass or running around with a gun, in The Expendables he gets to do both.

Modern day action heroes Jason Statham (Crank 2, Death Race, The Transporter Trilogy) and Jet Li (The Forbidden Kingdom, Unleashed) join forces with Rocky Nemesis Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV, Universal Soldier, Masters of the Universe) and Bafta Winner Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Iron Man 2) alongside timeless heroes Bruce Willis (Die Hard) and Arnold Schwarzenegger to make the cinema a dangerous place to be this August. Rounding out the cast is wrestling superstar ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Eric Roberts (The Specialist, The Dark Knight), Terry Crews, Randy Couture, David Zyas and Giselle Itie.
