Diet chef: Week 2 and Week 3

Last week time escaped me. It disappeared. In what felt like twenty minutes of sitting at my desk it was 5 o’clock and it was home time.

Before I knew it, it was Friday and I had forgotten to tell you all how my second week of Diet Chef went… So now you have week two and week three in one post.

Week Two

Another success, I lost a further three pounds. Which took me to half a stone (seven pounds). I couldn’t have been happier leaving the house if I tried.

The week had been tough, and as I tried more of the different meals I found a few that were not to my taste. Macroni Cheese and Lasagne, which was very disappointing because I love both of these meals. It was the cheese that was the problem, I just wasn’t a fan of the taste and as you can imagine it’s quite hard to get past considering that they’re key ingredients in both of these meals.

I also found that I wasn’t fussed on some of the snacks, the oat berry bars and the root stem ginger biscuits. But comparing calories, I was able to opt for a Kit Kat biscuit which was the perfect treat after dinner one evening. It was the chocolate that I had been missing out on and as you can imagine the biscuit didn’t last that long.

Week Three

I was a little disheartened when I stepped on the scales to see that I had gained one pound this week, but then I realised I shouldn’t be angry in the slighest way. Towards the end of last week I suffered a slump and the diet took a back seat, plus it’s that time of the month. Which means I’m bloated and retaining more water than usual. It’s not uncommon for me to gain up to five pounds at this particular time. Do you gain weight?

Exercise was also the last thing on my mind. I walk 20 minutes when I get off the train each day, there and back to the office. Plus, when I get off the train at home I have a 35 minute walk to my house. I was in the wrong frame of mind to go home and suffer through Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred, plus I’m at the point were Level One is no longer doing anything. Yes, I still pant and sweat, but I don’t feel it in the morning when I wake up. I need to feel to believe that it’s working. So, instead of moving up, I took the lazy option and said goodbye altogether. Something I incredibly regret now.

Oh well, this will all change this week. I suffer really bad with pains, so I plan on exercising my way through them, I don’t like to sit and mope. Keep my mind busy and I won’t have time to think about what’s going on in the uterus.

I have high hopes for this last week. I will lose more weight and couldn’t be more thankful to Diet Chef for helping me to start my journey to a more better and healthier self. Feeling your body changing is the best motivation that you can ask for in carrying on.
