X Factor 2011: Kitty goes home

Another weekend of X Factor – more drama to be hold.

After Frankie Cocozza shockingly left/was told to go – I’m not entirely certain which is the truth because he says he made the decision to leave, whilst statements released have said he was booted for braking a golden rule (apparently taking drugs) – so, he left and Twitter went nuts for the idea that The Risk could be brought back.

Yes, I wanted this too, at least one more week of believing that they were singing a love song directly to me. A girl can dream.

Anyway, the producers made the wise choice of deciding to give the public the option to bring back the four acts who were booted in the first week. As the public didn’t have a say in this and no money was spent on votes.

So Saturday night, we discovered that Amelia Lily was coming back into the competition and she sung for survival, giving the performance of the night. Without any doubt. It cast into people’s minds the thought of why was she actually given the boot in the first week?!

Kitty, 26 was sent home last night after being in the bottom two with Misha B. Since the beginning of the competition, Kitty has come under scrutiny from the public, after failing to ‘connect’ with them. There’s no doubt that she has a strong vocal, but would people buy her album? Well, apparently not.

But, I doubt that this will even phase the blonde after she received a hug from her idol on last night’s Xtra Factor.

Lady Gaga was performing her new single, with a headless corpse on her body? – if anyone can explain that to me, it would be greatly appreciated – and we all know how much Kitty loves Gaga, she was seen crying on Saturday night because Kelly Rowland had chosen the song Born This Way for her contestant, Misha B. Kitty had, had her hopes on singing the meaningful song.

I already can’t wait for this week’s show to see how well Amelia Lily does and hopefully a front runner will finally come forward. I still haven’t decided who I want to win. Have you?

X Factor 2011: Just what is going on?

It’s clear to say that from the looks of Twitter and Facebook last night there was some outrage at the two acts that were booted from the reality show.

We said goodbye to both The Risk and Johnny Robinson in the double elimination – but the really shocking thing was, Frankie Cocozza stayed.

After his God awful performance of ‘I Got A Feeling’ and the fact two acts were going, it was a certainty, in my mind, that he would be making an swift exit out of the back door, with the hope that we would never have to hear from him again. But no. Surprisingly people vote for him, I’m not certain what they are exactly listening to, but it can’t be the same thing that I am.

I am still truly heartbroken that The Risk had to go and can’t believe that they received the fewest votes. It just goes to show that you really do need to vote to keep your favourite in. Not only are they great singers they also give a performance when they’re on stage. Plus, it helps that they’re all good looking. Especially Andrew Merry, the Scottish lad, I do love that accent.

And of course, Johnny Robinson. OK, I will admit that I can’t see myself buying his albums or watching him perform live in concert, but I expected a couple more weeks out of this lovely man. And at least he can actually sing, not like someone else I’ve already ranted on about.

Not only does Johnny have some talent, he was also grateful to be there which was really humbling to watch. You could see his excitement each week as he stood on stage. It was even more gratifying to watch when Gary enjoyed his performance, which leads to Johnny squealing with excitement.

We can only hope that the public gets a clue next week and we will finally see the back of Frankie Cocozza. If we don’t, expect another rant on Monday morning.
