The Great Gatsby Character Posters

One of the movies of 2013 that I am most looking forward to is The Great Gatsby as Baz Luhrmann is back in the director’s chair.

A Baz Luhrmann movie is always a spectacle and that trend is set to continue as he brings the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel to life.

An impressive cast has been assembled for the movie including Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.

However it is Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki who feature in the first character posters for the movie as they take on the roles of Tom Buchanan, Myrtle Wilson and Jordan Baker.

Django Unchained Trailer

We may be seven months away from the release of Django Unchained but the movie is already causing a stir.

I am super excited about it already and absolutely gutted that we have to wait until January before the Quentin Tarantino movie finally hits the big screen – but it promises to be one of the best films of early 2013.

Yes Django Unchained is the first movie for Tarantino since the huge success of Inglourious Basterds back in the summer of 2009.

And here is the new trailer for Django Unchained just to wet your appetite:

Jamie Foxx leads an all star cast as he takes on the role of Django alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz.

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, Django Unchained stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz).

Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.

Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side.

Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.

Django and Schultz’s search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of ‘Candyland,’ an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport.

Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candie’s trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them.

If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival…

Django Unchained is released 18th January.

Three New Images From The Great Gatsby

We may only be in June but there are a whole host of autumn/winter movies that I am already super excited for and The Great Gatsby is one of them.

The movie marks the return to the director’s chair for Baz Luhrmann as he brings the F.Scott Fitzgerald story to life.

And no one captures a period like Luhrmann with the likes of Moulin Rouge and Australia looking absolutely stunning – and he looks set to triumph again with his latest project.

Three new images from the movie have been released and once again the director has captured the look, feel and fashion of the glamorous 1920′s

The Great Gatsby sees Leonardo DiCaprio take on the role of Jay Gatsby and he is joined on the cast list by Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher.

However we do have to be patient as The Great Gatsby will not be hitting the big screen here in the UK until 26th December.

Django Unchained First Pics

Quentin Tarantino has not put his ass in a director’s chair since the HUGE success of Inglourious Basterds back in 2009, a movie that went on to be Oscar nominated.

But all that is about to change as his new movie project Django Unchained is on the horizon – it is being filmed as we speak.

And we have the first couple of images from the movie for you to take a look at:

As you may imagine a Tarantino project brings together a great cast – and this is one of the best that he has ever assembled.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington and Sacha Baron Cohen are all set to star.

And to celebrate the release of the movie we have three new clips for you to take a look at:

Yes Kate & Leo are back as Rose & Kate who fall in love on this ill-fated voyage – although I don’t know about you but there was more than enough room for two on the driftwood at the end.

Titanic 3D Featurette

Should anyone have missed Titanic on the big screen when it was released for the first time time back in 1997 then fear not as it is set to sail back into cinemas next month.

But this is not simply a re-release as director James Cameron has converted the much loved movie into 3D.

In this latest video Cameron and co talk about the process of turning the movie into a 3D picture and how they always thought it would be the perfect project for this transformation.

Titanic was the movie that shot Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet to stardom and we can now re-live the romance of Jack & Rose.

James Cameron’s Titanic is an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the R.M.S. Titanic, the pride and joy of the White Star Line and, at the time, the largest moving object ever built.

She was the most luxurious liner of her era – the ‘ship of dreams’ – which ultimately carried over 1,500 people to their death in the ice cold waters of the North Atlantic in the early hours of April 15, 1912.

Titanic 3D is released 6th April
