Nowhere Boy Trailer

Last night Nowhere Boy was thrown into the spotlight as it closed the 2009 London Film Festival.

Nowhere Boy, the highly anticipated debut feature from British artist Sam Taylor-Wood, will open across the UK through Icon Film Distribution on 26 December

 Imagine John Lennon’s childhood… Liverpool 1955: a smart and troubled fifteen year-old is hungry for experience. In a family full of secrets, two incredible women clash over John.

Mimi, the buttoned-up aunt who raised him, and Julia, the prodigal mother. Yearning for a normal family, John escapes into rock n’ roll. His fledgling genius finds a kindred spirit in the teenage Paul McCartney.

Just as John begins his new life, tragedy strikes. But a resilient young man finds his voice, and an icon explodes into the world.

Day 13 At The London Film Festival

Here is your daily fix of London Film Festival as the action slowly winds down as closing night is in sight.

London Film Festival: Day 8

It’s day eight at the festival and it was Clive Owns new movie The Boys Are Back that was under the spotlight.

London Film Festival: Day 6 Highlights

Ok so it’s day six at the London Film Festivals and the big names just keep on rolling into town.

Bright Star is one of the big British movies on show in London, after doing well on the festival circuit so far this year.

Also on show was the latest movie from Matt Damon The Informant, which follows the story of Mark Whit acre who turned whistleblower.

London Film Festival: Day 5

Ok now that George Clooney has left the building it’s time to concentrate on other movies and performances at the London Film Festival this week.

As ever FemaleFirst has the highlights for you from last night’s screenings which include an Emily Watson interview from her latest movie Cold Souls.

She works alongside Paul Giamatti, who stars as himself, agonizing over his interpretation of “Uncle Vanya.” Paralyzed by anxiety, he stumbles upon a solution via a New Yorker article about a high-tech company promising to alleviate suffering by extracting souls.

London Film Festival Day 1

 Yes the London Film Festival is back, doesn’t seem five minutes ago that we were talking about the 2008 line-up, but 2009 is just as impressive.

And the festival kicked off in fine style on Wednesday night with the premiere of Fantastic Mr Fox, the lastest high class animation for 2009.

And George Clooney was on the red carpet to promote the movie, he’s going to have a busy festival with The Men Who Stare At Goats and Up In The Air also being screened.
