Behind The Scenes Of Mud

Mud hits the big screen this week and sees Jeff Nichols back in the director’s chair.

The movie, which he has written, sees the director team up with actor Matthew McConaughey, which is continuing to take on more challenging and daring roles.

The actor really has changed the course of his career with the likes of Killer Joe, Magic Mike and The Lincoln Lawyer under his belt in recent years.

Mud sees McConaughey team up with Reese Witherspoon and Michael Shannon while we are introduced to the acting talents of Tye Sheridan and Jacob Lofland.

Mud is an adventure about two boys, Ellis and his friend Neckbone, who find a man named Mud hiding out on an island in the Mississippi.

Mud describes fantastic scenarios – he killed a man in Texas and vengeful bounty hunters are coming to get him.

He says he is planning to meet and escape with the love of his life, Juniper, who is waiting for him in town. Skeptical but intrigued, Ellis and Neckbone agree to help him.

Mud UK Poster

Matthew McConaughey has seen his career go in a very different direction over the last twelve months and is set to continue with his new film Mud.

The film is directed and written by Jeff Nichols in what is his first film since the terrific Take Shelter.

The Paperboy Images

The Paperboy was one of the movies that whipped up a storm of the festival circuit last year and it will be hitting the big screen in March

The movie is an adaptation of the novel by the same name by Pete Dexter and marks the return of Lee Daniels to the director’s chair.

The Paperboy boasts one hell of a cast as Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and John Cusack are all set to star.

And we have some images from the film for you to check out:

The story follows two brothers: Ward Jansen (played by Matthew McConaughey), a reporter for the esteemed daily newspaper, The Miami Times, and Jack Jansen (played by Zac Efron), a recent college dropout who lives in a small town in central Florida with their gutless father, W.W. Jansen (played by Scott Glenn).

When Ward shows up with his writing partner, Yardley Acheman (played by David Oyelowo), to investigate a story for their paper, Ward asks Jack to drive them around.

The reason Ward is in town is that Charlotte Bless (played by Nicole Kidman), an enigmatic loner who writes to prisoners on death row, has convinced them that Hillary Van Wetter (played by John Cusack), an unsavoury alligator hunter from the backwoods, was wrongly convicted at a trial that took place near their hometown.

As the investigation unravels, it becomes clear that these brothers are on a journey that is filled with betrayal.

The only thing that remains constant is that there is this strange, beautiful woman who falls in love with killers and her passion could be everyone’s downfall.

The Paperboy is released 15th March.

Matthew McConaghey has had a fantastic eighteen months of so as he has shown a very different side to him as an actor.

He has starred in the likes of Killer Joe and Magic Mike in 2012 and now he is back with his new film Mud.

The movie has already been playing on the festival circuit and it sees him team up with director Jeff Nichols.

Magic Mike Premiere Image

Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey delighted fans in London earlier this week as they graced the red carpet for the European premiere of Magic Mike,

Directed by Steven Soderbergh the movie is based on Tatum’s experiences of being a stripper before he became an actor.

Both Tatum and McConaughey play strippers in the movie alongside Brit actor Alex Pettyfer.

They both arrive at the Mayfair Hotel for the premiere with their other halves as Jenna Dewan and Camila Alves.

To a rebellious 19-year-old kid (Pettyfer) looking for independence from his family, Magic Mike (Tatum) seems like the perfect role model: he’s got a nice car, a nice apartment, and a seemingly endless supply of women.

What’s his secret? He’s a male stripper, and when the kid dives headlong into Magic Mike’s world, his mad dancing skills and hunger for excitement make for an unforgettable summer…

Magic Mike Trailer

Channing Tatum has been a super busy boy so far this year with the likes of Haywire, The Vow and 21 Jump Street already under his belt.

Be is back on the big screen this summer with Magic Mike, which is just one of his summer projects; the other being G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

The movie sees him reunite with Haywire filmmaker Steven Soderbergh as the movie nods back to Tatum’s stripping days before he became an actor.

The Lincoln Lawyer Trailer

Matthew McConaughey is back on the big screen next year with his new movie The Lincoln Lawyer as he heads an all star cast.

It’s the first film for the actor since he starred in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past last year as Michael Connelly’s nove is brought to the big screen.

The movie also stars Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Michael Pena and William H. Macy.

Mickey Haller is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan.

Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet, a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder.

But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.

Monday was the day that saw > Fightstar take over Femalefirst for the day, head over to the site and check out how they got on… They are the hottest men I have EVER seen in my life… yumm

We also got our hands on the hottest new album in the world of rock from the super sexy > Madina Lake but is it really as good as we all hoped?

It looks like > Rihanna has finally seen sense and dumped her on/off guilty/not guilty boyfriend Chris Brown. The singer has been spotted enjoying an intimate dinner with basketball player Andrew Bynum. Let’s hope he can make Rihanna see that hitting your girlfriend is not really the done thing in a relationship.

I’m not sure what to make of > Lady GaGa at times, not least because when she speaks she sounds like a five-year-old, and then when she sings she sounds like a cross between Freddie Mercury and Amy Winehouse. No, my real dilemma is deciding whether her fashion choices are brave, or just plain ridiculous. Answers on a postcard please…

Ok so >Lindsay Lohan’s acting career is in the toilet, although to be fair she was not that good an actress to start off with, so what is she doing to try and resurrect herself? Is she taking on small roles to build up her reputation? Is she begging directors to give her work? No instead she is about to get her jugs out in a Las Vegas show… what a great plan that’s going to bring your credibility flooding back. Sack your agent love!
