Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Character Banners

You have got to love a bit of Dwayne Johnson, well I do, and he is back on the big screen next month with his new movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Josh Hutcherson is back in his role as Sean while Johnson, Vanessa Hudgens and Michael Caine are all new faces on the cast list.

Sean Anderson (Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist.

It’s a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret.

Unable to stop him from going, Sean’s new stepfather, Hank (Johnson), joins the quest.

Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter (Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is released 3rd February. Here are some character banners for the movie:

Cars 2 UK Premiere

No summer would be complete without a Pixar movie gracing the big screen and 2011 sees the return of Lightening McQueen in Cars 2.

It’s hard to believe that it is five years since we were introduced to McQueen and Mater for the very first time… but this summer they are back and are bigger and better than ever.

John Lasseter is back in the director’s chair while Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine and Emily Mortimer have lent their voices to the movie.

Caine was joined by John Lasseter as well as actor Jason Isaacs on the red carpet at the weekend as the premiere came to the Empire theatre in Leicester Square.

Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

Cars 2 is released 22nd July.

The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Poster

The Dark Knight Rises promises to be THE movie of 2012 and it is one that I am already incredibly excited about.

Christopher Nolan is back in the director’s chair and there is only one question surrounding this movie… and he better The Dark Knight?

Yes can he got a step further than the movie that stunned us all back in 2008? Well we really are going to have to wait and see – I personally think that the movie will be a triumph.

Christian Bale is back as Bruce Wayne while Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman all make a very welcome return.

But there are also a lot of new faces on the cast list including Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Tom Hardy.

Four New Inception Clips

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams.

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable.

Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.

Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible… inception.

Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime.

But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.

Inception is released 16th July. Take a look at the new clips from the movie:

Behind The Scenes With Inception

If there’s one movie that everyone needs to see this summer then it’s Inception as it seems that no one has the slightest idea of what the movie is about.

Christopher Nolan is in the director’s chair for the first time in two years, he hasn’t made a movie since The Dark Knight, and that in itself is reason to get yourself to the nearest cinema.

But the impressive line-up, which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine and Cillian Murphy, could also be a very influential factor.
