New Jane Eyre Pics

Mia Wasikowska (“Alice in Wonderland”) and Michael Fassbender (“Inglourious Basterds”) star in the romantic drama based on Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel, from acclaimed director Cary Fukunaga (“Sin Nombre”).

Wasikowska takes on the role of Jane while Fassbender is all set to star as Mr Rochester in the lates adaptation of this famous story.

In the story, Jane Eyre flees Thornfield House, the vast and isolated estate where she works as a governess for Adele, a child under the custody of Thornfield’s brooding master, Edward Rochester.

As Jane looks back upon the tumultuous events that led to her escape, from her childhood as an orphan to her education at the cruel charity school to which she was consigned, she realizes that she must return to Thornfield – to secure her own future, and to come to terms with the terrible secret Rochester had hoped to hide from her forever…

Jane Eyre Poster

Jane Eyre is one of the best books ever written, it’s my second favourite book of all time, and it’s fair to say that a few adaptation of it have hit the big and small screen over the years.

Well 2011 brings an new version as Mia Wasikowska takes on the role of Jane while the very in demand Michael Fassbender is Mr Rochester, the man with a secret.

Based on Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel, the romantic drama stars Mia Wasikowska (“Alice in Wonderland”) and Michael Fassbender (“Inglourious Basterds”) in the lead roles.

In the story, Jane Eyre flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester. The isolated and imposing residence – and Mr. Rochester’s coldness – have sorely tested the young woman’s resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned.

As Jane reflects upon her past and recovers her natural curiosity, she will return to Mr. Rochester – and the terrible secret that he is hiding…

Jonah Hex Clips

Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a stoic, battle-hardened gunslinger who can track down anyone and anything.

Having survived death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend, and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the ‘other side.’

A man fated to wander alone, his sole human connection is with Lilah (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own.

Jonah’s past is about to catch up with him when the U.S. military makes him an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for freedom from the warrants on his head, he must track down and stop the sinister terrorist Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich), the man who killed Hex’s family and mutilated his face with a branding iron.

Turnbull, who is gathering an army and preparing to unleash Hell, is also Jonah’s oldest enemy and will stop at nothing until Jonah is dead.

Jonah Hex Images

You know, much like Inception, Jonah Hex is another movie that has been kept under wraps until the release of the trailer a couple of weeks ago.

And while the movie boasts an impressive cast of Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, Michael Fassbender and John Malkovich I have a feeling that it could be one of the big disappointments of 2010, lets hope it proves me wrong.

First Jane Eyre Image

It seems that the movie industry isn’t happy unless they are filming a remake! And it’s classic jane Eyre that is once again being produced for the big screen.

Now I have to admit that I’m a huge fan of the book but haven’t we seen this adaptation a hundred times? What is wrong with producing an original screenplay?

Anyway rant over. Tye movie brings together an interesting cast of Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell, Judi Dench, Holliday Grainger and Sally Hawkins.

In the film Jane Eyre (Wasikowska) flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester (Fassbender). The isolated and imposing residence – and Mr. Rochester’s coldness – have sorely tested the young woman’s resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned.
