Nicholas Cage is one of the most hard working actors in Hollywood and Joe is just one of the projects that he has in the pipeline this year.

The movie sees the Oscar winning actor team up with director David Gordon Green for the adaptation of the Larry Brown novel.

Cage will take on the role of Joe Ransom in the film and he is joined on the cast list by Ronnie Gene Blevins, Tye Sheridan and Sue Rock.

Director Green has been known for his comedy projects in recent years with Your Highness, The Sitter and TV series Eastbound & Down but this is a film that is set to take his career down a very different path.

Ransom is an ex-con, who is the unlikeliest of role models, meets a 15-year-old boy and is faced with the choice of redemption or ruin.

2013 looks set to be a great year for animation and The Croods is set to be one of the early films in this genre not to miss.

Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders are in the director’s chair for the film and they have also penned the screenplay.

But, once again, a fantastic voice cast has been lined up including Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Catherine Keener.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – The Mop Scene

no one makes more movies in a year than Nicholas Cage and he is back this summer with his latest project The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, a live action version of te Mickey Mouse segment of Fantasia.

And talking of Fantasia that is the clip we have for you to take a look at as Jay Baruchel bring the mops to life to do the chores… nedless to say everything doesn’t go to plan!

Walt Disney Studios and producer Jerry Bruckheimer present The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – a mind-blowing action adventure about a sorcerer and his hapless apprentice who are swept into the centre of an ancient conflict between good and evil.

Set against the backdrop of modern-day Manhattan, Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel) is just an average college student, or so it appears until a master sorcerer, Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage), recruits him as his reluctant protégé and gives him a crash course in the art and science of magic.

As the unlikely duo prepare to do battle against the forces of darkness, led by Balthazar’s arch-nemesis Maxim Horvath (Alfred molina), Dave discovers that it’s going to take all the courage he can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice could be one of the more interesting blockbusters to hit the big screen this summer, what with it being based ona snippet of Fantasia.

Nicholas cahe reunites with his National Tresure filmmaker Jon Turteltaub, the pair are set to work togther again on National Teasure 3, and see him work alongisde Jay Baruchel, Monica Bellucci, Alfred Mlina and TobY Kebbell.

Balthazar Blake (Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Molina).

Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé.

The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness.

It’ll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Leonardo DiCaprio Favourite For Captain America

leo-Leonardo DiCaprio is the latest high profile actor who may step into a comic book movie franchise.

Following in the footsteps of Robert Downey Jr, Edward Norton and Christian Bale, who have all enjoyed success with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Batman, DiCaprio is the favourite for the role of Captain America.

This would be the latest marvel Comic character to appear on the screen fuelling further speculation of The Avengers movie being on the cards, which brings many of the Marvel characters together.

However Brad Pitt’s name has been suggested for the role of Captain America but it’s thought that he is favourite for the role of Thor.

DiCaprio is currently filming his fourth collaboration with director Martin Scorsese on Shutter Island.

robert downey jr-After the success of Iron Man in May actor Robert Downey Jr is in high demand and is currently negotiating a role in Cowboys Vs Aliens.

Penned by Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, who wrote Iron Man, it centres on an alien landing in Arizona which interrupts the battle between the Apaches and the Western settlers.

Downey Jr is also linked with the Hugh Hefner project and has two further movies comedy Tropic Thunder and The Soloist, which is already surrounded in Oscar whispers, released later this year.

-Sienna Miller is to take a little trip into Sherwood Forest for her latest role as Maid Marian.

A Retelling of the Robin Hood legend the film will be directed by Ridley Scott and will re-unite him with Gladiator leading man Russell Crowe in the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Scripted by Oscar winner Brian Helegeland it’s Robin Hood with a twist as Hood is portrayed as a not so heroic character and Nottingham a more sympathetic figure than in previous incarnation.

kevin spacey-Oscar winner Kevin Spacey has signed on to head the ensemble cast of Shrink.

Directed by Jonas Pate Spacey will play a psychologist who treats troubled celebrities while dealing with his own problems, including a pot addiction.

It’s an all star cast as Spacey is joined by funnyman Robin Williams, Saffron Burrows, Jack Huston and Griffin Dunne.

-Eva Mendes and Nicholas Cage are to re-unite in Werner Herzog’s new movie Bad Lieutenant.

The pair worked together on 2007′s disappointing adaptation of Marvel Comic character Ghost Rider.

The film is a re-telling of Harvey Kietel’s cop movie released in 1992, but Herzog has claimed that the film is not a simple remake.

And Nicholas Cage is to lend his voice to new animation movie Astro Boy alongside Donald Sutherland and Freddie Highmore.

The film is based on Osamu Tezuka’s Manga animations of the 1950s.
