Rihanna might have thought she could put and end to the whole Chris Brown assualt story with an interview on Good Morning America, but now Chris Brown has issued a statement in retaliation… is this story going to go on forever?
John and Edward might have been growing on me last week, but after seeing Lucie Jones miss out on another week on the show to that the pair of loons could live for another week has just left me gob smacked.
If you were a betting person here’s a little tip for you bet that an actor taking on the role in a biopic picture will win an Oscar. It may not have escaped your notice but biopic movies tend to do rather well with the likes of Sean Penn, Reese Witherspoon, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts all winning for real-life roles. So with Amelia released this week we could well see Hilary Swank win her third best Actress Oscar
Robert Pattinson likes playing weirdos in movies having played a few odd characters in the last year or so, did you see Little Ashes? Anyway it’s nice to that Rob likes his off the wall roles because I fear that he get typecast as the pretty boy lead, do a Johnny Depp pal weird didn’t do him any harm!

Chris Brown keeps harping on about how sorry he is at punching Rihanna in the face earlier this year but we have heard no word from the lady herself, that is until now of course. The singer poured her heart out on Good Morning America, whatever happened to privacy and keeping things to yourself?
It seems that Katie Price and Peter Andre are starting to behave like adults after Kate’s son Harvey was rushed into hospital. There’s nothing like a major drama with your child to clear the air!
You would think that when you are casting a movie set in a high school you would cast actors of a similar age right? Well they don’t do that in Hollywood oh no, did you know Olivia Newton John was 30 when she did Grease? Take a look at those actors that are way too old for school.

Chris Brown STILL Wants Rihanna Back!! October 23, 2009
Posted by Ruth in : Music, Ruth's Ramblings , 10commentsChris Brown, what planet are you on mate? Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder why the heck he is still hoping to get back with his ex Rihanna?
I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they loved each other like salt and pepper, but after he gave her a backhander earlier this year, and left her looking rather like a giant purple and red balloon, we’re pretty sure she’s not interested.
Now we’re not wanting to speak for the Umbrella lady, but after Chris bumbled on to Hot 97 FM about how he felt about Rihanna, I was left feeling somewhat queasy, he said; “Feelings are feelings and they don’t go away overnight, especially if you sit down and be like, ‘Look, I’m [going to] really be in this relationship with you. Past whatever the case, past our busy schedules, past us being two of the biggest artists.’ I really care about her.”
Well, note to Chris, you WERE one of the biggest artists… and now Rihanna is hanging out with Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake, I think it’s probably a case of ‘Chris who?’ especially when he tried to get our sympathy by moaning; “That was one of the most embarrassing things for me, because of my image and who I was as a young role model to a lot of kids. ‘It was hard for me.”
Err, hard for you? What about poor old Rihanna who couldn’t go out without a face full of make up for a month and who’s probably terrified that the next man she falls for will do the same thing?
Seriously, is Chris Brown completely bonkers? Do you think Rihanna should actually give him another chance?

Rihanna is clearly living by the mantra that ‘sex sells’ after appearing topless on the cover of her new single, Russian Roulette. If you’ve got it…. flaunt it eh?
Kanye West might not be everyone’s favourite singer, but it seems that someone is really, really cross with the star… so much so that they’ve decided to kill him.
Katie Price is at it again… not content with whining about the pap’s, Pete or showing her sex life down our throat, Katie is now going all princess Diana on us by claiming: “There were three people in our marriage.”
Calling all Robert Pattinson fans actor Jackson Rathbone has insisted that the hottie will have plenty of screen time in the latest Twilight instalment New Moon. There were fears that Pattinson may be slightly sidelined because he only appears as a figment of Bella’s imagination but his co-star insists there will be plenty of Robert for all you ladies to drool over… Phew!
And while we are on the topic of New Moon have we got a treat for you. A new clip of the latest movie has been made available so if you particularly like the very lovely Taylor Lautner then you really should check this out… it’s so exciting.

Michael Jackson Gets ANOTHER Tribute Show September 8, 2009
Posted by Ruth in : Music, Ruth's Ramblings , 61commentsSo, Michael Jackson has had a public memorial service at the Staples Center and a private funeral at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California… and now it looks like we’re milking his death even more – this time by putting on a concert in Vienna.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for remembering the King Of Pop, but really, can’t we remember his CD’s and music videos? Why do people think that we – the fans – want to watch a load of celebs singing his songs and trying to moonwalk?
What’s more, they’re only bringing in shamed R n B star Chris Brown for the event too… great, so we’re trying to forget Michael might have had a couple of run-in’s with the law, but who cares, lets bring in a bloke who’s got five years probation after assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Brilliant.
But standing up alongside Mr Brown on September 26 will be Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole and Sister Sledge as well as 13 other acts… Sister Sledge?! I mean, come on, we can never replicate the tributes by Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey and Lionel Richie.
It seems to me that these ‘tributes’ are just going on for the sake of it now, we’re all mourning his loss, but we can’t bring him back, and isn’t it better to remember Michael’s music rather than pay to go and have the pain of our loss dragged up again?
Organizers are billing the event as the main global tribute to Jackson, who died June 25 in Los Angeles, but I think that that could have been the memorial… or maybe the funeral? Or maybe one of the hundreds of Facebook groups…. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Will Someone Please Stop Chris Brown Whining? September 7, 2009
Posted by Ruth in : Music, Ruth's Ramblings , 1 comment so farChris Brown should really let this whole Rihanna thing go now – I mean let’s face it, she’s not going to be taking him back – but he still insists on whining about how much he still loves her.
We know it’s hard when your ex starts dating someone else, but to hear Chris Brown blubbering on about how he will find it difficult when his ex-girlfriend Rihanna starts dating someone else kind of makes me want to scream.
I know when I saw my ex’s Facebook status changed to ‘In A Relationship’ I felt like id’ been dumped all over again, but since Chris has actually been ordered to stay away from the his ex for the duration of his five-year probation period after pleading guilty to assaulting her in February, I can’t see much hope of reconciliation.
In an interview with veteran newsman Larry King, his first since his arrest, Brown admitted he is “definitely” still deeply in love with Rihanna, and he confessed it will affect him when he starts seeing images in the press of his former girlfriend in the arms of another man.
He says, “Tell me, who wouldn’t be upset or who wouldn’t be like kind of hurt if somebody else gets the person you love?” Well, maybe you should have thought of that before you used her as a punch bag?
What is it with men these days? Why can’t they just love us and look after us anymore?

Rihanna sure knows how to show ex boyfriend Chris Brown what he’s missing out on after stripping of for a sexy photoshoot in Vogue Italia. Rihanna you saucy minx!
Whilst Saturday’s headlines screamed that Oasis were over for good, we though that Liam and Noel Gallagher would have kissed and made up by the end of the week. But it seems our prayers have fallen on deaf ears as Liam confirms our greatest fears.
We’ve Had Katie & Peter The Next Chapter, Katie & Peter Stateside, What Katie Did Next and Peter Andre; Going It Alone…. But now it looks like Katie Price is hoping to cash in on that goldmine by launching a programme with her new man, Alex Reid. Brilliant.
Let’s face it we ladies like nothing that a rather sexy bloke getting his kit off in a movie. But with the likes of Brad Pitt, Daniel Craig and Leonardo DiCaprio all flashing some flesh in recent years who has topped the poll as the best movie torso?

Firstly I would like to share my disgust at the Michael Jackson Memorial commentators used by the BBC. I watch the tributes to the King Of Pop filled with anger at the callous remarks made by these so-called professionals. How disrespectful.
The gorgeous Rihanna really knows how to kick Chris Brown in the teeth doesn’t she? The pop star celebrated America’s Independence Day in eye-popping style, by wearing a revealing tuxedo jacket and nipple tassels.
What’s more, I’ve got a new celeb best mate in the shape of former Happy Monday’s Star Rowetta, who took time out to chat to us about trying to make a comeback.
I’m also very sorry to inform you ladies that Enrique Iglesias could be engaged after his long-term girlfriend Anna Kournikova was spotted brandishing a diamond ring during a recent tennis match.
While many Doctor Who fans are still crying into their pillow at the news David Tennant is stopping down as the Doctor it seems life does go on for the Scottish actor as he lands a role in the new St Trinian’s movie. And while it’s great to see him back on the big screen I join the rest of the Who fans that want to shake the actor and yell ‘Don’t Go!’

Seems that the credit crunch has hit Rihanna as she was caught moonlighting as a tattoo artist earlier this week. Great idea at the time I guess, but would you want to let some random pop star ink you?
Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has added to the controversies surrounding the death of the pop superstar by insisting, “I want my kids.”…erm, is it just me, or did she ‘sell‘ her kids to Jacko back in the day?
Chris Brown Writes Rihanna A Love Song June 25, 2009
Posted by Ruth in : Music, Ruth's Ramblings , 6commentsOh please, when will Chris Brown get the message that when you beat up your girlfriend, she’s probably not going to want to spend the rest of her life with you? Even so, Mr Brown has penned a song all about his love for Rihanna, and oops, it’s been leaked on the internet.
Now usually a musician’s ‘inner circle’ has more leaks than a sieve when they need to get people talking about it, so as the singer reels from being charged with assaulting Rihanna, his ‘people’ are desperate to divert attention from the story and at daa, out comes a song about the leading lady.
Apparently Chris Brown penned the song after their violent altercation in March, and ironically named it Not My Fault 9which obviously makes me wonder if it was actually about the accident, or if Chris’ arms came to life and hit Rihanna without him being able to control them?
Either way, the lyrics include: “I pick up the paper and the headline reads/ It said ‘Singer broken heart and some satin sheets’/ And I’m like why? We had a hell of a time. When I first met ya I told ya you will be safe/ In the misty fog you win something/ Falls to the floor and breaks/ But we look down to see what you dropped/Oh it’s your heart/Shorty see he’s caught up it’s not my fault.”
But whilst Chris was pouring his heart out, Rihanna found herself the subject of semi-naked photos which were leaked online… oh I’m so glad I’m not in a Hollywood relationship!
