New Image From The Hobbit

Now I am going to stick my neck out on the line here and predict that The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be the biggest grossing movie of 2012 – LOL!!

Rather obvious I know but I am super excited for the latest trip to Middle Earth and the return of Peter Jackson to the director’s chair.

And there if that is not exciting enough then we have a new image for you to feast your eyes on:

Sadly however we are going to have to wait until December to finally see the first instalment of the story.

Excitement over the movie will have reached fever pitch by this point but I can’t wait to see Martin Freeman take on the role of Bilbo Baggins!!

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is released 14th December.

Meet Thorin, Balin & Dwalin

Having just finished reading The Hobbit I am even more excited about the release of this movie next year – having been a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings.

Much like that trilogy a decade ago Jackson has brought together big names with lesser known stars on the cast list.

Today we can take a look at Thorin Oaken shield – which looks set to kick off Richard Armitage’s movie career; he will also be appearing in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Scottish actors Ken Stott and Graham McTavish are also on the cast list as they take on the roles of Balin and Dwalin.

More Pics From The Hobbit

We are slowly being introduced to the characters of The Hobbit as filming continues down in New Zealand and we have more character pics to bring you today.

The more pictures and videos that I see linked to this movie the more I get excited – unfortunatley for all Hobbit fans we are going to have to wiat until Xmas 2012 before we get to take a look at the first installment.

The Hobbit – Behind The Scenes Video

I don’t know about you but The Hobbit is the movie that I’m personally so looking forward to in 2012 – it’s been a long time since we have been to Middle Earth and I can’t wait to return.

Peter Jackson is finally back in the director’s chair as he plans to bring us two movies over 2012 and 2013.

Martin Freeman leads the cast as he takes over the role of Bilbo from Ian Holm while Ian McKellan and Andy Serkis are also back as Gandalf and Gollum.

Serkis is more than just an actor this time around he is serving as director on one of the units for the movie.

Filming is underway in New Zealand and we have a video blog by Peter Jackson for you to feast your eyes on and get all excited about!!

More The Hobbit Pics

There may be eighteen months until the first part of The Hobbit hits the big screen but the excitement is already mounting.

Pics from the film are already starting to be released and we have two more for you to squeal over.

Filming is underway in New Zealand and Peter Jackson is back in the director’s chair as he brings another J.R.R Tolkien novel to the big screen.

Martin Freeman takes over the role of Bilbo Baggins while Ian McKellan reprises his role of Gandalf.

Freeman and McKellan are the only characters that we have caught a look of so far – itching to see rest of the cast in full elf and dwarf get-up.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is released 14th December.

First The Hobbit Pics

The Hobbit is set to be one of the big cinema events over the next couple of years as director Peter Jackson is going back to Middle Earth to get this highly anticipated project to cinema screens.

Martin Freeman is leading the cast this time around as he takes on the role of Bilbo Baggins while the likes of Ian McKellan and Andy Serkis are reprising their roles of Gandalf and Gollum.

Filming is currently underway in New Zealand and the movie will be split into two films to be released in 2011 and 2012.

Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom are other familiar faces returning while there are some new names on the cast list.

Luke Evans, Evangaline Lily, Lee Pace and Richard Armitage have all landed roles in the movie – which will be one of the must see films of next year.

Here are some first images from the movie:

Jedward To Audition For The Hobbit!!!

Goodness Gracious Me! I LOVE Jedward! I mean, I’ve never hidden the fact that I’m a fan of their wackyness, but after hearing that they’d been offered the chance to audition for parts in The Hobbit.

So, John and Edward Grimes are hoping that legendary director, Peter Jackson – yep, the bloke behind the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, King Kong and The Lovely Bones – will see some star quality in them and offer them a major movie role!

Apparently, PJ reckons the big-haired boys could be perfect for his new film, and if they show acting ability, they could be offered the parts of twin dwarves Fili and Kili, who have fairly big parts in the film. Errr, wow!

According to The Sun, a movie insider said: “Peter is keen to see if Jedward have any acting ability. He needs twins for these parts and they have a perfect look for the film. But the characters have very prominent roles. The big question is whether Jedward could settle down on a major shoot because they are so excitable and hyperactive.”

Do YOU think the twins have what it takes? Or will Jedward-mania be over by this time next year?
