The Three Musketeers New Images

The Three Musketeers is a tale that has been told many time with a whole host of actors taking on the famous central roles.

Next months sees Paul W.S. Anderson bring his version of the popular trio to the big screen as he assembles an all star cast.

Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans and Matthew Mcfadyen are set to play Porthos, Aramis and Athos with Logan Lerman taking on the role of the dashing D’Artagnan.

Milla Jovovich, Juno temple, Orlando Bloom, Christoph Waltz and Mad Mikkelsen are just a few of the other famous names on the cast list.

The hot-headed young D’Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.

The Three Musketeers – When We Were Young (Take That)

Now The Three Musketeers is a movie that I have been looking forward to for some time – having been a fan of the many movies that have gone before.

Logan Lerman, Matthew Macfayden, Luke Evans, Ray Stevenson take on the famous roles of D’Artagnan, Athos, Aramis and Porthos and fingers crossed that the movie lives up to some early promotional promise.

Orlando Bloom, Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, Milla Jovovich, Mads Mikkelsen and Juno Temple are all also on the cast list.

And Take That have joined the movie as they are providing a lovely song for the closing credits – When We Were Young from their latest album Progressed.

The Three Musketeers Character Banners

The summer blockbuster season may still be in full swing but I am already looking forward to the autumn and the release of the new The Three Musketeers.

The Three Musketeers has been a story that has been told many times over the years, and I have to admit I have a fondness of the movies, from Michael York and Oliver Reed to Chris O’Donnell and Charlie Sheen.

And with Paul W.S. Anderson at the helm a brand new interpretation of the story is set to hit the big screen – it also hosts a great cast.

Luke Evans, Ray Stevenson and Matthew Macfadyen take on the roles of Aramis, Porthos and Athos while young Logan Lerman is D’Artagnan.

We see Orlando Bloom as a baddie for the first time as he takes on the role of Duke of Buckingham while Oscar winner Christoph Waltz and Milla Jovovich play Cardinal Richelieu and M’lady De Winter.

Paul W.S. Anderson, the man behind movies such as Death Race and Resident Evil, is the laters filmmaker to bring a re-telling of The Three Musketeers to the big screen.

Yes 2011 sees a new host of actors take on the famous roles of D’Artagnan, Porthos, Athos and Aramis – but it is a movie that I am looking forward to.

The hot-headed young D’Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.

Once again a great cast has been assembled Logan Lerman takes on the role of D’Artagnan while Ray Stevenson, Matthew Mcfayden and Luke Evans are Porthos, Athos and Aramis.

Orlando Bloom takes on his first major baddie role as Duke of Buckingham alongsode Christop Waltz’s Cardinal Richelieu and Milla Jovovich’s M’lady De Winter.

The Three Musketeers Teaser Trailer

There have been many big screen versions of The Three Musketeers over the year but 2011 sees a new breed take on the famous roles of Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D’Artagnan.

This time around the swash buckling four are played by Matthew MacFadyen, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans and the lovely Logan Lerman in the Paul W.S. Anderson movie.

And the support cast are not bad either as Oscar winner Christoph Waltz takes on the role of Cardinal Richelieu while Orlando Bloom is back on the big screen as a baddie.
