Frankenweenie – A Look Inside The Puppet Hospital

I don’t know about you but I love stop motion animation and am super excited for the release of Frankenweenie later this month.

The movie sees Tim Burton return to this genre of film for the first time since The Corpse Bride and it promises to be one of the best looking animation movies of the year.

But with any stop motion animation movie there are hours and hours of painless work and this new featurette takes you behind the scenes of the film and shows you the people who looked after the puppets.

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life – with just a few minor adjustments.

He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new ‘leash on life’ can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie is released 17th October.

First Poster For Frankenweenie

Now we haven’t seen Tim Burton direct a movie in two years, his last project being Alice In Wonderland.

If you are wondering what he has been up to then I shall tell you… he has been working on his latest stop-motion animation project Frankenweenie, not to mention that Dark Shadows is also on the way.

But it’s Frankenweenie that we are concentrating on and it is in the same gothic vein as Corpse Bride.

Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara are just a couple of stars that will be reuniting with Burton to bring the characters to life.

Young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.

More Alice In Wonderland Clips

Yes I know that we keep banging on about Alice In Wonderland but it look slike one of those movie that you just can’t miss out on.

Johnny Depp leads an all star cast of Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen, Matt Lucas and Alan Rickman.

The film also looks set to shoot Mia Wasikowska to fame as she takes on the central role of Alice in Tim Burton’s reworking of the famous story.

So just for we have two more clips from the movie:

Alice In Wonderland Clips

Alice In Wonderland is released in cinemas this week and a Johnny Depp & Tim Burton movie is absolutely not to be missed.

It’s the seventh time that the pair have worked together, hard to believe they haven’t made a movie since the success of Sweeney Todd back in 2008.

But they are back as Depp, as you might imagine, takes on the slightly odd role of The Mad Hatter in Burton’s reworking of the popular story.

19-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen’s reign of terror.

The movie is released in cinemas on Friday, but if you can’t wait that long here are a couple of clips for you to feast your eyes on:
