Hi everybody!
MeOhMy, did I read that right - are you pregnant again? WOW! Congratulations! That was quick! It'll be lovely, though - my hubby and his brother were only a year apart and they've always been best friends, almost like twins, which is really nice.
ODN - where are yoooooou? I'm wondering if you've had any specialist appointments? Are you okay?
Cheryle - love your new avatar, you look so young and happy, I'm so glad everything is going well. What an exciting journey.
Juicy Lucy - everything okay?
Well, I've come to the end of my three months on the pill to "regulate my hormones" - but I've chickened out of coming off it; things have been so fun and relaxed for the past few months, I'm reluctant to go back to the stress of TTC just yet. So I've got another three-month supply and we'll see how we feel then.
Would love to catch up with everybody. . . |

HI Ziggy!!
If you're not feeling up to TTC yet, I agree, take another 3 months off... it is stressful!!
Thanks for the compliment! It is an exciting journey, but this week has been a bit stressful for me as I failed my diabetes test and have spent almost every day for 4 hours at the doctors getting all sorts of tests done. It looks like I'm going to have to shoot insulin and I get to do all sorts of tests every day, urine and blood sugar tests... naja I always was a POAS addict, but this is carrying things a bit far But I feel ok, and I'm just glad they caught it early and are obviously taking it very seriously (it's kind of scary to be getting so much attention from the doctors )
Take care!!! |

MeOhMy- Congratulations on the new pregnancy!! My sister and I are born 11 months apart. Me in January, and she in December of the same year so we were even in the same school class always!! Mom always said it was quite hectic and stressful when we were small but as we got older, it was great for her and for us!! |

Pooey Pants is never five months old! Noooooo! But he was only born a few weeks ago, I remember the excitement! My god . . . Amberdite you must be a pro at the whole motherhood thing now, you'll be able to give the new scared mums some wise words of wisdom! Ah, a little terror . . . do we all remember what little boys are made of - slugs and snails and puppy dogs tails, wasn't it . . ?!
Ohhhh Cheryle - scary biccies, as we say in Oireland. You haven't had an easy time of it, have you - but it does sound as if you're getting well looked after. I'm still not entirely over my POAS addiction, by the way - took a course of antibiotics for a throat infection, and remembered belatedly that they can interfere with the pill - am considering POAS for old times sake! But I'm going to read back over your other posts now to get a better picture of how you are, poor thing. Look after your wee self. And Cherko.
Where's ODN . . . ?! |

HERE I AM!!!
Hi Girls!!! Have just got back from a 2 week holiday in Sunny Tenerife I hear it's been a little damp here?
Am so glad to hear from everyone! I do keep popping in to see what is going on! I am incredibly nosy!!!
Ziggy...I think that you have made a good decision, if you feel that you are not ready...it is so good now the pressure is off, and you and hubby sound like you are having a lot of fun!
Cheryle, I am so sorry you are having a hard time of it...it sounds like you have the most amazing health service out in Germany...or do you have to pay privately? I can't believe how many times they have seen you - it sounds like it is on a daily basis! They monitor so closely out there don't they? I'm sure over here you'd be told to pop into your GP...and you usually can't get an appt for weeks!
You are in excellent hands by the sounds of it...try not to worry! I stick people with needles on a daily basis, and know how daunting it is so inject for the first few times...but it is amazing how quick you get used to it, isn't it? And the needles for Insulin administration are so fine now, you can harldy feel them can you? Like a pin cushion!!! |

Ohhh...too keen with the old "submit" button there!!!
Ambers...so good to hear from you...5 months already? OMG...we'll still be coming on here when he's 18 at this rate!!! Sounds like he is doing really well though, and you sound really happy too!
As for me...absolutely no changes! Still no period! Have got an appointment tomorrow for my Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to see if my tubes are clear! Am dreading it! Have got to go in first thing tomorrow, and have had to take the day off work! Hubby's coming with me to hold my hand..my friend has had it done, and said to take some pain killers before I go, and I have to take a pregnancy test tomorrow morning! I know I'm not pregnant...I'm not having friggin' periods...so why put me through that misery!
Hubby has had a love sample sent, and has a really high count, but very low motility...they literally swim round in circles! We are both screwed! SO have an appointment booked next month with consultant to discuss our results from all of our tests...and if my tubes are clear, we have to start on Clomid, if not, probably IVF!
BUT...feel a lot more positive now, than when I first heard the news! It's not a definate "Never" I have good days and bad days, but hubby is so positive all the time...he's my rock! Tomorrow will tell!
Love to you all xxxxx |

Hi ODN!!!
It's so great to see an update from everyone! We do seem to have a really good health service here in Germany despite all the cut backs they've done over the last few years... I'm not privately insured. I haven't seen my GP through my whole pregnancy yet, just keep jumping from specialist to specialist: OB gyn, Neurologist, Hematologist, Endocrinologist... it makes my head spin how closely they're monitoring me!!! I am giving myself insulin injections now, and you're right, I have gotten used to it fairly quickly... I'm a regular pin cushion now If anyone is interested in keeping up with my "pregnancy progress", I have started a Blog for my family in Canada: http://www.cherkoandco.blogspot.com/
I'm so glad your husband is so supportive and strong for you through all this. It sounds like you both have your hands full with all the testing you have to have done... hopefully it will bring positive results!!
Take care of yourself, and please update again about your HSG appointment! |

and Congratulations to you as well Ambers!!!! WOW!! It's probably a bit of a shock at first since you weren't trying but I hope you're happy about it (once you get over the initial shock!)... When would you be due? |

Thanks girls...I am still in shock
In the last couple of days I have had those tiny little signs that made me think...then I realise I hadn't had a period. Haven't got a clue how far gone as I haven't been keeping a record and my periods are still not regular after having pooey!!! All the those years of trying and nothing then two come at the same time
I am having lots of sharp pain in the right hand side so starting to worry about an eptopic pregnancy....
I am all over the place at the moment |
