| I always find double, or even more, triple pierced or more earrings on girls to be really attractive..I was just asking girls here who have them if they got them to be attractive or for another reason (and if so, why). How old were you and have you ever heard or thought that men take notice? |

| I was eight years old when my ears were pierced the first time and 14 when they were double pierced. Two of my friends and I got our ears double pierced as a "rite of passage" from middle school into high school. Some men do notice double pierced ears, others don't care at all. |

to please your husband means you wouldn't do it otherwise?
Only if you want to answer, of course.
And - would you like it on men, too? |

| I'm 28, I was 10 years old when my ears where pierced for the first time. I got a second hole into my right ear when i was 15 years old, at 17 i got a stud in my right nose. Four years ago i walked with my boyfriend in town, we stand in front of an jeweller, my Boyfriend said to me, i would look hotter with another hole in my right lobe, i was scared. I said Ok if he will get his ear done too, so we went in. We chose a pair of studs and got our ears done. |

| I have doubles in each ear; my husband has one in each. I wouldn't object if he went for another pair and I'm considering a third. |

I know you have had your children's ears multiple pierced at vary young ages. Would you please give us a list of what piercings each child has and what ages they were when they were pierced? |

I have just found this having put a request for advice and opinions elsewhere on the website. I have just one piercing in each ear (conventional) at the moment and have had since I was 12. My husband loves earrings on me and has nagged me on and off for years to get them pierced again. We have been married for 20 years. He recently bought a home ear piercing kit with some silver plated studs and said that he wants to pierce my left ear (only) just behind the hole that I already have. I know that I could have both done as well (should I?). He has also bought a really tiny gold stud (about 2.5mm) which he wants me to wear.
He hasn't got any earrings and I wouldn't want him to have his ears pierced although this isn't an issue.
Should I let him do it? Is it safe to use one of these kits? Is silver plating OK for piercing with? I'm very conventional and none of my friends wear more than 1 pair of earrings although they used to a long time ago. Is it still fashionable? I'm not sure...
Does anyone else have a partner who is so mad about earrings? |

Hello silly bunny
I know a lot of mature womens they got additionals studs in their ears,
i think the age doesn't matter. A short while ago an Aunt of mine
(age 50+) got a second hole in her right ear, it looks cute.
Maybe the reason about your qualms will be in your past.
Do you still remember the detail when you geht your ears done?
Did you get your first holes with a gun or by a needle?
If you are scared of the pain when your ear will pierced, i can calm you,
it doesn't hurt, you will only hear a plopp and the ear will itching for an hour.
You will laugh about the worries you made before you got your second hole.
In your case i'd let him do. If you don't like the new look you can still remove the stud within few days
and let the hole growover, few weeks later nothing indicate a second hole.
I think the self piercing kit with silver plated studs is save enough, it will be the same
as you get you ear done at the jeweller with a piercing gun.
Did you ever spoke with your friends about a second stud in your ear?
I hope my words helped you.
Let me kow your decision. |

Silly bunny:
It sounds to me like there's room for a compromise here. You'd like to see your husband in earrings; he'd like you to be pierced again. Why not propose both? That way you give each other a gift, which seems to me to be a good thing in a marriage.
If you're worried about the home piercing kit, why not go to a place like Claire's where they at least use professional equipment and are experienced at piercing. |

I don't want my husband to get his ears pierced. It wouldn't look right and I know he wouldn't want to. If I do this it will be for him but I don't think that I really want to. What do you like about more than one piercing? Am I missing something? I think that it really excites him; are all men like this or is it just him? I don't think that he is excited about any other jewellery.
Jolaya says that her aunt got her right ear pierced again. My husband wants my left pierced. Is there any significance in which side?
I've never spoken to my friends about double piercings. I think that because they don't have more than 1 hole that they would think that my husband was just odd for wanting me to have a second.
Please let me know what you think. I'm not going to do anything yet! |

| my girlfriend had also 1 piercing in each ear because her parents were also very strict on having multiple piercing. Since we are together she added several piercings. she now has 3 lobe piercings in both ears, 1 helix piercing in her left ear and a tragus piercing in her right ear. for her upcoming birthday, we agreed that she has her nose pierced. she never regretted adding these piercings. |
