Alf H*ckham and many others are certainly very interested in the Men's skirt topic. This proves that it is an important issue.

It's just so not happening though.

I haven't seen any1 wearing one round here yet.

No girls in skirts either, Alf ???

Skirts !!!

Postby Bushwalker on Thu May 08, 2008 4:47 pm

You will have to actually go out and about eventually sometime, Alf, if you want to see real people - men and women - in a variety of skirt-like garments - they are out here in the wider world...

Maybe when you're a few years older - and big enough to drive - you may be able to finally get out and see what it really is like in the wider world out here..

Fashion Freedom : the notion that everybody - men and women - should have the right to wear whatever they like, [or not - I support the ideal of more public nudity, as well - I'm all in favour of more public nudity...] in their own time, and giving due regard to work, safety, and cultural/social needs...

Just to give Alf a chance to reply again, I would point out that I have worn kilts and sarongs round the world in recent weeks. Just wear what you choose and argue the point about fashion freedom and equality afterwards.
Best Regards from Colin - Have fun.

Alf,

Has your signature "doughball" got anything to do with Sunderland football team? It doesn't seem to relate to Fashion.

I believe that signature has more to do with Alf's physique, and with what's between his ears, than it has to do with any outside influences in his life..

i don't personally have a problem with men wearing skirts, but quite a few people do, so any men who want to wear a skirt in public would have to be a bit thick-skinned, as they're sure to get a varied lot of reactions from people.

on another aspect of this discussion, why do some people keep bringing up the subject of kilts? they are an established form of male clothing and have been for centuries. and some men can look quite sexy in kilts.....
women who seek to be equal to men lack ambition

Just a minute, while I put a guitar on and plug in. You need music to twirl to. Nice and loud.

Men need an alternative from shorts and trousers...

Personally I think it looks terrible.

I've never thought that ladies look as good in trousers as in skirts but recognise that it's a free country for ladies, and now also for men. So let's all feel free to wear what we feel comfortable with. I like kilts out and about and sarongs in the house. I would never try to restrict my wife's choices of expresion.
