List your books

Postby aquarius on Tue Mar 25, 2008 4:21 pm

from your bookcase (if you have one that is - if you have more than one - choose just one) list the first book from each shelf. I thought it would be a good way of seeing what members are into. Though goodness knows what you'll think of mine, it looks a bit strange to say the least

Top shelf: Essentials of Endocrinology
2nd shelf: Shakespeare - The Complete Works
3rd shelf: Formula 1 Yearbook 2006 -2007
4th shelf: De Niro - A biography
Last shelf: StarWars fact file

I do books but I just cannot be having with the bookcase and shelves thing. I can tell you as I find them!!
Nose pressed hard on frosted glass
Gazing as the swollen mass
On concrete fields where grows no grass
He stumbles blindly on
Iron trees smother the air
Withering they stand and stare
Through eyes that neither know nor care
Where the grass is gone

I have those too apart from the last one! I was in Waterstone's recently and I overheard someone asking for a copy of 'On the Road' by Jacques Chirac!

On The Road is good, but the Dharma Bums and Sartori in Paris are both far better.
