HI,

I am just wondering whether anyone else is having money problems at the momment.

I am a 26 year-old single mother working full-time as a receptionist. I live in a rural area so have to run a car, which with the currrent cost of fule is a nightmare. On top of this I receive no help from my daughter father and have to pay all the childcare costs and so on.

Every month I end up with more money going out than I have comig in and I don't know what to do. Unfortunately I am not in a position to get an evening job and don't want to borrow money, even if I could!!

I buy the cheapest food I possibly can.

I have to buy clothes for my daughter as she is growing so fast, but can't remeber the last time I bought any clothes for myself. I have to wear the same clothes to work all the time. In fact I am still wearing my heavy winter coeat as I have been able to afford anything more summery. Also, I only have one pair of blcak court shoes for work, which are falling apart, but I simple can't afford a new pair.

Please can anyone give me any advice, - I am really desperate.

Thanks,

Ann.

i know what you mean everything going up apart from wages. do you get working tax credits or any other help. if you rent you can get housing benefit plus can get help with childcare costs. as regarding clothing charity shops haave some great stuff in which dont cost a bomb.

Ann,

You sound absolutely pathetic.

I am surprised you have a job at all with your attitude.

Why don't you get a grip, and try working a bit harder.
