Ok.
You and the Colonel agree attraction is attraction.
Gay or straight. RIGHT?
So then why do gay males get to shower with straight men and straight men do not get allowed to shower with the women?
Where is the EQUALITY in that?
Do the women get a say in this? You are saying gay men and straight men showering together is wrong, and trying to pair up straight men and straight women. But maybe the women don't want to shower with men? Are the women as uptight about showering with lesbians, be they out or in the closet? I have not served in the military, so I do not know barrack protocols, but I would have to think that a guys locker room is the same in the military as it would be in school. A bunch of guys cleaning up after exertion. I would also guess that any sexual activity in those shared areas would be met much the same way as in school, a trip to the c.o.'s office.
No touching, kissing or anything else is permitted by the UK military while wearing the uniform of the Queen. Whether on, or off duty, it is not permitted. Only when they are not in the service of the Crown (e.g. leave etc.)
That applies between men and women, two men or two women.
Now that sounds like it would best remove discrimination...
