Lifetime underwear

The average woman in a lifetime wears 40 nice bras, but wears 500 pairs of knickers!

I heard the above sentance being mentioned on the radio a few years ago.

Just wondering if this is an average number.

How often do you go shopping for bras and knickers?

Hardly ever! That's not to say I don't buy them of course, they tend to just catch my eye when I'm out shopping for other things such as jeans, skirts etc. In other words an impulse buy because I like the colour and/or style (I only wear white if my outer clothes require it).

When I do buy a bra, I tend to buy a couple of pairs of matching thongs too.
