Half Slips

Does anyone else still wear a half slip under their skirt to work? Theres a couple of ladies I work with who generally wear slips but a friend of mine was teasing me when we met for a coffee after work last night saying I was old fashioned wearing a slip under my skirt.

I do. Call me old fashioned I don't care. Sometimes you like the extra coverage that a slip provides.

Ignore your friends, SJ113 and keep expressing your individuality. I bet they all routinely wear the usual cropped trousers, leggings etc which fill today's fashion pages and the racks of rubbish chain stores. About as sexy as a dead parrot!

It is true that slips aren't everyone's cup of tea and only a few diehard (but sexy) women wear them now, but judging by what I've seen this summer, only a few women wear skirts anymore anyway. And guess what this autumn's must have fashion is...got it in one, it's black trousers! Now there's a novelty, I've never seen a woman in black trousers before.

Yeah I know that I've no right to tell women what to wear and that trousers are so much more practical and comfortable (yawn....).

Being 'modern' usually means being boring, that's my view anyway. Vive la difference. Keep the faith.

Thanks for your support. I very rarely wear trousers any more as I feel more comfy in a skirt. Wearing a slip is to some extent habbit as I always have done and to some degree practical if the skirt isnt lined. Today Im wearing a lined skirt but still got my slip on as it does make the skirt hang better. A few other women at work wear slips but I think more dont than do, not that one can always tell of course short of lifting their skirts!

Yes I agree Julie and to be honest I now tend to wear a slip out of habbit. i probably get it from my Mum as she always has a slip on. How about you, have you always worn a slip under your skirt?
