Hi there I had my nipples pierced about 4 weeks ago and I'm doing quite well. in order to pierce the nipple they will have to make it come out first, they do this by gently massaging the nipple. It is all very professional, nothing to worry about! I was quite worried myself as I did not know what to expect, I saw a lady piercer who was very good and made me feel very comfortable! In regards of your other question some people state that if you leave the bar on for a long period of time around 16-18 months the nipple will not retract, but like with anything it's not guaranteed!

In response to other people whom may not think that piercing is the look for them I can also relate! I wasn't too sure at first as I'm not into the whole piercing thing myself! However since having them done my nipples look sooo good that it's worth having them pierced!! Plus there is also lots of very girly jewellery with dangly bits which will make your nipples look very feminine if you want to avoid the Goth look!

Ok, I've just been to see a surgeon whose details my doctor gave to me. It took me about a year to pluck up the courage to do it!!

He was quite an old fashioned guy whose title was 'general surgeon' so this wasnt exactly his speciality. He basically said he doesn't recommend that I have the surgery and that I am 'normal'
He said that as I grow and develop (im 23 now, not 15!!) they may get biger and I wont have any trouble breastfeeding.

The fact of the matter is, they are still inverted and its ruining my self esteem so I am still considering surgery but dont know where to go without my doctors advice. Anyone who has had the surgery can you recommend anywhere or give advice? I live in London.

Many thanks...

Hello

I know of a surgeon who has been highly recommended by a girl who I used to work with she has used him in the past (not for nipple surgery but for breast enhancement and I believe for something to do with the size of her ears! ) anyway the point is she highly recommends him and reckons he is very honest about what to expect from surgery, apparently he won't make you waste your money unless he thinks you'll get a good result from the surgery. Anyway I have got his number somewhere let me know if you are interested and I will try and find it for you! I think he charges around £70 for a consultation and is based on Harley Street.

Right I have had a consultation with Yannis Alexandrides at 111 harely street. He is happy to do the op and he was quite laid back about it as though he sees this kind of thing everyday (he prob does!) It will cost £1,800.

Shall I go ahead? Or do I need to shop around? How do I know if hes any good?

Surgery £1800, piercings £40. If you're willing to pay £70 just for a consultation, why not try something that might actually solve the problem and be a bit of fun into the bargain for a little over half the price?

You dnt have to be a particular age as you can buy them from boots! infact i remember i got my mum to get mine, so if u feel comfortable about talking to ur mum or sum1 close that will help. Not sure how i can best describe how u use them, if u search 'avent nipplette' the product may come up in google or smethin which shows you but its smething u basicaly put over ur nipple and u can have it as tight as your comfortable with n the suction brings out the nipple, but u have to wear it alot.
I found it kept falling off, and gave up, but it works 4 many..also i stopped using it as im in a relationship where my bf loves them lol, and it took me a long time b4 i was bra-less wit him!
But if a lad really likes you, he wont mind, trust me. and if a guy is put off then lets face it they werent worth it!!
also at such a young age they may nt be inverted permenantly.

Because I have allergies to nickle so cannot have any piercings. I also do not want to have pierced nipples, that is just not me and would look odd.

I have made the decision to have the surgery, I just dont know the best place to get it.

There are plenty of options there - surgical-grade stainless steel, titanium, even plastics. Any good piercing shop will be able to advise on nickel allergies.

That's fine - the piercing causes new skin to grow around the bar, which will have the desired effect even after the bar is removed. This is a method that some surgeons will use - and they charge a lot more for doing so than piercing shops.

Seems to me you've just dismissed the option out of hand, but hell, if you've got £1800 to burn, do what you like with it.

:D I'm so happy that I found this site. I feel soo relieved (and I won't say because I'm glad I'm not the only woman with this problem because I knew alot have the same) but I feel relieved that I got to read all of everyones feelings on this. I'm 21 years old, and I used to worry so much about what a guy would think if he saw my boobs, so I would wear a bra during sex, and if a guy tried feeling me up...he soo got pushed away!! I've finally realized that if a guy cares you have innie nipple(s)...he really doesn't matter. And I know it makes it harder to get comfortable around someone but try and make it fun. Don't be insecure if you're in this situation, and if this doesn't help you there are always other options that've been mentioned plenty of times. Every woman is beautiful JUST the way they are!! :D
