WEDDING PLANNER

Postby Guest on Tue Sep 26, 2006 4:29 pm

i just wondered how many people used a professional wedding planner for there wedding day and if so did you think it was a smart move or a waste of time and money? if you not already married, would you consider hiring a wedding planner when your 'big day' arrives?

im seriously thinking about doing a diploma in wedding planning and once qualified, starting up my own 'wedding planning business' and just wondered what the public demand is for a wedding planner and if you think it would be worth the time and money if i were to enroling in the course and become a wedding planner?

You must have read my mind as this is something that I have been thinking whether I should do also.

Have you had any responses??

the courses that I have looked at seem very reasonable but I have never met anyone who has used a wedding planner before. i therefore wondered whether to do event management and wedding planning so i can work in all areas - weddings, parties, baptisms etc

I'm a wedding photographer and from what I have seen, having a wedding planner makes the couple a lot less stress out at the wedding. They are more relaxed and they can actually enjoy the day.

living in devon weddings????

Postby ann michelle on Tue Jun 26, 2007 4:29 pm

Well I live in a village in north devon and I am trying to plan my wedding for next year which should be easy as it's over a year away, however it's not. I have been told loads of time's that the amount of guests is to large so we have no other choice the village hall it is, but I need some insperation and alot of help to make that look like a wedding venue so a personal wedding planner is what i needed but can I find one.....No and every thing I want is so hard to get that included a chef which was the hardest thing of all and i have had to rely on a friend to do my wedding meal you would think we were having 2000 guests not 200 .

So yes I think there are people that want a wedding planner, not only want but need one.

Ann Michelle!

I might be what you need... I live in Devon, am almost complete with my Diploma in Event Management, Wedding Planning and Business with uk-open-learning and I have previously coordinated small and large scale events corporately. However, I wanted to set up on my own hence the course...

In order to start a portfolio of clients, I'm prepared to work for next to nothing to start with. If you need a Wedding Planner to help you, I'm your gal!

Email me on laura (at) mucha-do.co.ukco. or call on 07776 168844 to talk about your wedding, if you would like to have a planner, and whether you would like me to meet with you....

If anyone else reading the forum needs a planner for a wedding or event, drop me a line as I am very keen to meet with new clients.

:D
