My father – an officer in the Royal Marine Commando’s, fought in Norway on covert operations and in various small attacks in France, and was among the Commando’s to attack St. Nazaire, where he was temporarily captured and then escaped, and was among the first to land with Lord Lovett’s Commando’s to capture Pegasus Bridge on D-Day, and fight on throughout until the end of the war.

This is why I find American’s arrogance about what they did personally insulting.
