We Americans are damn tired of being thought of as dumb by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November and removed all doubt.

Your problem is you think forced taxation (social states) is the same as being charitable and caring.
It's not.
Your government plan and atheist agenda removes the example of being personally charitable like the church wants.
So children grow up in your society knowing their taxes are charity and they don't have to give freely.
Which of course teaches each new generation how not to be altruistic by ones self.

So try not to make your position look better by pointing out I say nothing about caring. It's a stupid Liberal trick that only other Liberals fall for. My perceived position by lack of opening up doesn't change the fact that I'm right. Which is proven by the fact that your rebuttal never deals with my opinion. Just my lack of stating that I'm charitable.

Here. Let's make your life extremely difficult.....
I donate 20% of my income to charity through church....

How do you respond now to my opinions of forced charity via taxation?

In direct answer to your question - now you can give that 20% of income to stop young children dying without healthcare. Simple that really. A good moral thing to do.

Do tell me Fred, I support 12 charities, what types do you support?

I support:

A military charity,
An aid charity,
Several health charities,
A homeless charity,
Several childrens charities,
and a gay/bisexual childrens/youth charity.

I expect your charity donations only go to indoctrinating the young into religion? I can tell that by saying you donate through "church". Why not a cheque in the post? I'm on the board of one of the charities I support, how about you?

It is absolute academic fact that atheists are more caring than the religious, and that they represent doctors (such as my wife) who help the sick, and others who work for the poor. This was found by the BMA among others.

The Church of England said the findings were "disappointing". Indeed. It blows their preaching out the window. And yet.....Bishops live in palaces while people starve.......................... Hypocricy Fred?

Unlike the religious, atheists know what is right and when to do something. That is why I do what I do. The UK has not seen any "drop" in charitable donations, or any decrease in our concern for others wellbeing. Your example fails to stand up to scrutiny.

If my generation of atheists are breeding uncaring, irresponsible children, perhaps you'd care to explain why my two eldest boys (of their own occord) last christmas were in town, in the freezing cold in the days before christmas collecting for kids that would have nothing on christmas day? For those kids in care, ophans and such like? Why are my boys doing that Fred? What were your kids doing? Sitting on their backsides kicking and screaming about what they DEMAND for christmas? Or praying in a church doing sod all?

You expect a reward up above. I do not. Who is doing it for the benefit of others and who is doing it for selfish reasons?

Your a good man.
You do good.
But your Old School. Not raised in today's Godless liberal society where you look out only for #1!

Look at yourself and compare yourself to good Christians and you will see you have more in common with them than your fellow die hard atheists.

All your political ideals lead to a political perfection called COMMUNISM.
Tell me which communist country you would like to live in today?
China?
North Korea?

I am Labour.

Nothing more. Not communist.

Fairness, equality, justice, freedom and hard work.

People have a right to expect help from the government, and people have a duty to help the government and their fellows.

Yes. I am a good man.

But I am not religious. I do not believe in religious morals.

I believe in an atheist code the believes that one is free to do as they wish, as long as they do not harm another.

I have raised my children the same way. And I am proud of what they do for each other and other people. They don't need dogma or fictional beliefs in their lives to do that.

Everyone can see, that my two eldest could have sat in before christmas last year in front of the TV. They could have been lazy. The could have been warm. They need not have bothered. They have plenty money. They did not need to go out and collect money for unfortunate children. But they did. That says something about them that I am incredibly proud of.
