Some of the questions my kids have had to answer for GCSE's and A-levels are far harder than I had to do - and I went to a Public School.
However, I dislike the wording of modern questions.
In my day, they'd ask a question directly, such as:
Explain the workings of the heart
Now it seems to be:
Mohammed and Isobel wanted to investigate the workings of the heart. Mohammed said that the heart was made by Allah. Isobel said F*** off. Which is correct?
OK - I know those examples were piss poor, but basically there is too much crap in the questions. Just ask a plain simple question!

I don't understand the question.

I think the crumbling of capitalism and the socialist streak being shown by Bush are clouding your judgement. Herethis one's on me, but I think it should be your last today!

But in all honesty professors of higher education have been complaining for 20 years that students are dumb now.
Liberal school systems no longer teach critical thinking when it comes to right from wrong and good from bad.

That's just about the funniest thing you have ever posted.![]()
Whilst I don't think exams are getting easier, I do think the marking has become more lax. Spelling and grammar are being ignored as well. I just find it odd that my wife has to deal with university graduates who have no idea how to do simple arithmetic and are not able to compose a simple letter. There must be something fundamentally wrong somewhere.

In a modern Liberal societies school they have to be!
Take for instance the Liberal position that everyone is equal...
Well, that mentality has to lower the bar so everyone can get a good passing grade.
IE gold medal Olympians are not to be role models because they excel.
