It's rare for a 13 year old who has been reliably dry at night to revert to bedwetting.

It could be a psychological stress reaction or there could be a medical problem. I'd start with seeing a GP and following up with a urological consult if indicated -- for which I'm sure she will have little enthusiasm.

A visit to an adolescent psychologist may be indicated.

Trust me you are not failing your daughter by using protection.

Have you had her to the doctors?

Katie has a small weak bladder for her age and can't wait more than 2-3 mins when she needs or she pee's herself. At home this is no problem she is near a toilet but when we go out this is a differant story. Katie will wear training pants (cloth type with plastic coating) when out and i know there is toilets easily avalable and a pamper nappy if a don't know where there is a toilet. If Katie asks to go i will look for a toilet for her up until she says its to late if she has an accident or we find a toilet.

If your daughter has a nappy on either in the day or at night and finds that she needs to pee will she ask to go to the toilet or just pee herself?

If your daughter asks to go to the toilet when out and has a nappy on do you take her to look for a toilet or do you tell her to just use her nappy and pee herself?

Hi mumofkatie, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for replying. I have a problem with my daughter, like where katie asks to go to the toilet, my daughter doesnt, even tho i ask her to tell me, when she needs to pee, but she doesnt, she justed wets her nappy instead of letting me no, which worries me. Ive taken her to the doctors afew times, and they tell me, her bladder is behind on development, and will take time. What i find hard about my daughters problem, is when ever we are out anywhere, people look at me funny, because they can see that she is wearing a nappy. it hurts, but if they knew her problem, i dont think they would judge and stare.

Do you and katie have the same problem, and if so, how do you deal with it.
Emma.

Hi There,

Having read your posts I felt I had to offer you some support - you say that ''people look at you funny because your daughter is wearing a nappy'' Firstly may I ask what clothes you have your daughter wear over the nappy? I ask because it may be that you are dressing her in clothes that do not lend them selves to concealing a nappy.
My Daughter who is now 9 still needs the protection and security of a terry towelling nappy and plastic pants at night as she bedwets most nights and has occasional soiling problems due to witholding and constipation issues where she does a large amount in her nappy during the night. There are also times when protection is needed during the day - such as when we are somewhere where we dont know where a toilet is handy or when it would be difficult to get to the toilet or where she may fall asleep. Usually it is sufficient for her to wear terry toweling trainer pants with plastic pants over, these she can wear with shorts, jeans, skirts etc and also when she is soiling or very constipated to school and they dont show, but when we go somewhere like say the cinema, she wears a nappy. When she is wearing a nappy she wears a loose fitting dress with either a long cardigan, jacket etc or coat and again nothing shows.

Hope this helps

May I say that having been a bedwetter all my life, I am now 17, I used to have regular daytime wetting accidents to, for which I wore pull up pyjama pants for, and later on just before leaving school I wore terry nappy pants with brief style plastic pants or terry trainer pants. But being a bedwetter I always had a terry nappy on for bed with plastic pants and still do, I have on occassions worn this during the day under a dress totally undetected, whilst shopping with my mother. So it is possible to go out nappied unseen.1E

Gee, you don't have to get personal!
I drive by the homeless sleeping in the cold, dark street, like bodies in an open grave. Underneath the broken old neon sign that used to read "Jesus Saves." It just makes me wonder, why so many lose and so few win.

Prison? For being a loyal officer and subject of Her Majesty?

I don't think so.

I've never heard of a "Princess" with a bladder weakness. Perhaps "Pissflap" might be a better title?

Unlike your chavvy, AD/DL self, my boys are of Royal Blood. They are, without doubt, rightful Princes of England, who are (in fact) more Royal than the present Queen . . . if certain historical events had been different.

Now my pissy friend, you have no bladder weakness, for I read your posts here before. You just like wearing nappies. You are an AB/DL. Prison would be too good for the likes of you . . .

A good kick up the backside will put an end to your fetish. That is for sure! You and the terrible troll McMum.

As You are aware at this time of year Corporal we remember those who without a thought for their selves gave their lives so that Britain could be a place where future generations could grow up free from low life nazi scum. A place where our elderly and disabled could live without citicism from low life nazi scum. I am deeply saddened by the fact that these people seem have died in vain, as you are the evidence of this. Normally I do not like swearing as the last person to post here demonstrated but in this case I think it was justified. I would have thought someone who claims to be a magistrate who claims to be clever would not need a 17 yearold girl fresh out of school to point things out to him, Can I ask why you come here? If you don't like people who are afflicted with a deblitation, surly the simple answer is not to come here, You mentioned something earlier which I didn't understand what is ad/dl ? enlighten me remember I only work in a hotel but at least I have a job and pay my way in this life, which is more than can be said for alot of people my age.
As for my father he has his own DIY shop, You not being as clever as you think you are I shall explain in simple language tha even you can understand what a DIY shop is are you ready you may need a crayon and paper ready here. DIY means DO-IT-YOURSELF have you got that, right here we go again, it sells things like nuts and bolts, nails, screws, tools like hammers (thats a thing to knock the nails in with) I know all clever stuff I can see it may be a bit much for your poor stupid head to comprehend all at once so I'll give it a rest for now and I'll perhaps tell you some more things it sell another day once your brain stops aching. Goodbye for now have a nice day.
