How are you?
WOW!!!!! Great News!!!!!
So have you tried her out of a night nappy or are you still keeping her in a nappy just in case for a little longer?
How's the younger one getting on?
Katie is doing okay.....still wetting most nights but waking more and more.
I took katie camping last weekend and we had a great time but the toilet block was accross the field from our tent and i never thought to take a potty or something with us until katie woke me at around 3am needing to pee, I got up and grabbed my torch and we went outside and i then realised that the torch which seemed bright in the house was not much use in a camp site in the pitch black. I decided after about 20 steps and nearly falling over someone elses tent ropes that we should go back to the tent and just let Katie wee her nappy.
The next night i was awake and she woke up bursting to wee and sat up and looked over at me and said i'm needing but then grabbed herself and said oh im peeing myself.....but that happens at home a lot.
I have had two dry mornings this week and that is a first but both nights she has been up to pee and made it to the toilet so not needed again before getting up.
hope your progress continues

It is with some relief that I found this forum, my 8 yr old still wets the bed an is nappied in terries and plastic pants. I was interested to read that some of you nappy just before bed. My daughter sometimes falls asleep watching TV and has wet herself, so she is usually in a nappy before she watches tv.

I think you are doing what you can to make her comfortable with her bedwetting. How long before bed do you usually put her in nappies? If you are making her comfortable with them then I see no problem. In my case I only need them when she is in bed and so I put them on her as she is getting into bed.

Hello Donna,
My daughter is usually nappied before she settle to wastch TV although this depends on how likely she is to fall asleep and /or wet and how much fluid she has had for the previous few hours and if she has done a good wee before. Recently she has had only a couple of accidents when falling asleep watching TV so this last week I have tried her with only plastic pants on and so far only one accident during which she woke presumably when she felt wet. - the plastic pants did their job and the couch remaind dry. She waddled into the bathroom with a little pool in the sagging bit of the pants.
This seems to work and befor she goes to bed she visits the bathroom, pulls them down like normal pants, uses the toilet then has her night nappy put on in her bedroom. This is still wet every morning but at least I know that the nappy she gets into bed wearing is dry.

how are yo guys...sorry its been ages since i was last _.
how's the girls getting on?
so are you going somewhere nice in the summer?
Katie is doing okay.....still wet most nights.
i have found that katie has gone backwards a bit in her day time control since her urine infection. she gets about a 1 to 1 1/2 mins sometimes nt even that to get to a toilet or she's wet.....she usually can hold 3 to 4 mins. I have bought some plastic coated training pants for her that she wears if we are out and i think i can get her to a toilet in time or a nappy when going into town on the bus or other places i can't gaurantee to get a toilet in time. We were in McDonalds yesturday and she suddenly said mum im bursting, I stood up and took her hand we got about 4-5 steps and she stopped and grabbed herself and said oh no mum im peeing myself. I felt so sorry for her because McDonalds was really busy and people heard her say she was wetting and you could hear the tittle tattle from people who don't understand someone Katies age can have problems.
The Doctor says it can take a little time to go back to normal so we will have to wait and see.
speak to ya soon

How do u and katie cope whn your out, do u do the same, or justd change her. Like u and katie and afew other mums my mum puts me into my night time nappy about an hour be4 bed.i prefer my terry nappy thn my disposables as they are more comfy, ive askd my mum to wear them instead of the disposables, but she said no, as disposables are quick and easy for day time. plus terries are better for night time as iam a heavy wetter. is this why u put pampers on katie, then terries for night time. i thought i was the only one in the world till i read your posts mumofkatie and lindas posts.
