The general advice for crossdressers is to come out in small steps and move at whatever speed you feel comfortable. First, you should probably go to Google and search for sites devoted to crossdressing and read about other CDs experiences. Then, since your family already knows you are dressing, dress at home when other family members are present. Ask your mother and/or sister(s) for advice on your overall appearance. When you are comfortable with that, go out for a ride in the car dressed or go for a short walk around your yard and the immeidate neighborhood. Then you can progress further at whatever rate you are comfortable with. The important things are to have confidence in yourself and never apologize to anyone for dressing in whatever clothes you like.

Women's clothes are wonderful, they look so nice and are so comfortable. I love to wear dresses and skirts. You are very lucky that your family is behind you and your decision to wear women's clothes. I encourage you to go out in public wearing women's clothes, you will really enjoy it. You can start out by wearing a skirt in public. You can wear makeup and paint your nails. When you see that is not so bad you can move on to dresses. You will get a lot of weird looks, that is especially true when you wear dresses in public. When you go out in a dress you will be laughed at an awful lot everywhere you go, I have had it to happen to me many times. I don't pay it any attention. You don't have to let other people's reactions bother you. Wearing skirts and dresses in public is a lot of fun, don't miss out on it. I say go for it. Good luck to you.

I wear a short kilt around the house and outside, no problem with that on 30+ deg days. Purely for the comfort factor. My wife thinks it is great as do her female friends. My neighbours have no issue with this either. Slowly becoming more exceptable for a guy to do this again. I have travelled and stayed in many countries, so I have worn a variety of clothes from above knee sarongs on beaches in the ., resorts, kilts, mini and full. Can't understand the problem it is not cross dressing. You show more leg on the beach or when running in shorts these days. If this was cross dressing then girls have a big problem wearing shorts and trousers considering trousers etc were only invented to stop chaffing when riding a horse. We men, (western) have an ego problem and listen to too much rubbish. Believe me wear a skirt if you want and no more sweaty neather regions to be worried. If asian, . islands and some euro countries can do this why can't everybody eles?

When I was 10 and my best friend who lived across the street, were dressed up for Halloween as girls by our Mom. I was dressed in a girl's taffeta party dress, petticoat, makeup, wig, the works. I was really nervous to walk outside, but after we started going from house to house and everyone thinking we were so cute, I started to have fun -- swishing the skirt back and forth, loving the way it felt on my legs, etc. Long story short: After that night I use to sneak wearing that dress and petticoat when no one was home, and it continued through high school wearing my Mom's dresses when I was alone. Not going to predict it will happen to your son, but 40 years later I have a closet full of dresses and petticoats, but have also been married 3 times, with the latest wife of 18 years tolerating my weekly dressing up. I still remember that first time dressing up, and I continue to this day, but it can provide a life-long challenge for anyone to maintain the secret of dressing up because society is very judgmental.

All the more proof that boys should not be dressed as girls.

Why is it OK for girls to dress as boys, then?

Who in their right mind encourages a boy to wear girls clothes?

That's a very judgemental opinion. Don't you get tired with convention. Who in their right mind encourages a woman to wear man's clothes. But that's what has become normal these last 20+ Years. I have no problem with that and find women sexy in that minus the tie.

But somehow its weird the other way around? Of course because of social norms. The point is a) what harm is it b)the negativity is usually down to some women having a limited view of masculinity in comparison to men actually c) guys jsut find it funny because its unusual to them d)a guy who likes to wear skirts isn't necessarily gay. He just likes such clothes same reason women do-choice. Men's clothes are evolving much slower in looking pretty and sexy. Mens underwear is a disgraceful bore and its time for womens undies to have a reshaped range sold to men as 'the fem range'. Its not good enough for men too look functional and women sexy, that gives women all the power. Of course there are most days when men and women prefer the more masculine look ie jeans. I think time we got away from gender really and move more towards unity, support, skill.
