Bravery, inspiration, hope...

Postby ali_mon_x on Thu Dec 30, 2004 1:42 pm

Have any of you overcome something really difficult and grown as a person because of it? I've had a really difficult couple of years and I'm only now really starting to say to myself: "Come on, snap out of it girl. You're young, you have so much to live for."

Anyone care to share any stories that they feel have really defined them and made them the person they are today? I suppose I need some inspiration and I just think it would be nice to turn negative experiences into positive ones.

You only have to look at what is on the news at the moment. The Asia disaster has spurred me into doing something about it. I had a little whip around with a few likeminded friends and its going to go to the charity appeal.

We can all make a really difference and selfishly it also make you feel better.

Best of Luck Ali - you always seem postive to me anyway if it make and difference!

Thank you :)

It's really cool that you're making a difference for the needy. My mum died from cancer (which is what triggered this whole dark phase of my life off) so now I'm really up for raising money for more awareness of it. Yep, I think it's definitely something I'm going to look into. :)
