"Not sure about this one", Bouncy muses, scratching her chin. "Let me see...could it be red? Maybe...but have I ever seen a red orange before?

What about blood oranges then?

They are still orange on the outside. It is only the juice and flesh that is red. Bloody horrible things anyway...they taste foul.

Some blood oranges do have a fair bit of red on the skin, but yes, they are predominantly orange in colour. You did not however say what part of the fruit was the subject of the question, so I don't see why red would necessarily be the wrong answer.

No they don't taste foul, they're quite nice actually, unless you have a very sweet tooth that is. They are, I am told, very popular with Southern Italians too. Unfortunately blood oranges have a fairly short season and are only in the shops for a couple of months or so, unlike other oranges, but when they are in season I buy quite a few.

Between you and Bouncy today then. Are there any other Aussies in the quiz?

8/10 in 72 seconds. Knew 5, educated guess on one and 2 successful stabs in the dark. More than happy with that result.

Quite a few wrong guesses for me...but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm dreading baseball on Saturday.

7/10 in 104 secs. I would have been far quicker, but someone arrived in the middle with a one grand cheque for me. I don't care if I'm bottom now.

Grrrrr! Can't believe I got the basketball one wrong! :bang:

Was lucky to hold onto that 10th spot yesterday. I'd already been in Whoville the day before, didn't fancy another trip there.
