In certain situations I'll wear a Tena slip, like if I've been for a few drinks and I've got a bus ride home. It lets me have my own private fun without leaving the seat wet for anyone else. Not to mention saving the embarrassmen of a wet patch on my skirt or jeans. Needless to say I found myself wearing one more in this cold weather! I seem to be leaking all the time at the moment.

I have never had a problem with wetting the bed and stopped that when I was very young. However, when I was growing up, I found myself quite a few times in a situation where I was very desperate and wet my <A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/catalog/' target='_blank'>knickers</A>. My Mother was always kind about it and didn't make a fuss. When I went to secondary school, I had two bus journeys. There were a number of times when I was bursting on the way home. I managed to hold it while on the bus but the walk from the bus stop was too much on several occasions I wet myself.

I was able to hide what I had done and thought my Mother didn't know. Then, when I was 16, I was coming home with her one day and really dying to wee. My Mother realised I was bursting. She told me just to do my best to wait but not to worry if I couldn't. Well, I couldn't and went in my <A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/catalog/' target='_blank'>knickers</A>. My Mother was really sweet and comforted me because I was quite upset.

When we were home and I had changed, she said that we ought to talk about what had happened. To my surprise, she said that she knew that I sometimes wet myself. She said that I should do my best to plan ahead but if an accident happened it was not too terrible. She said I had obviously inherited her slightly weak bladder. She told me that she occasionally wet her <A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/catalog/' target='_blank'>knickers</A> when bursting for the loo and that her mother and sister, my aunt, did too.

That was more than 20 years ago. I still have to be careful, especially if it is cold or I have a cold. While I do my best not to get into a situation where I am bursting, I still have an accident every once in a while.

Tell me when you say that you wet knickers does it mean that you just leak a little bit or you totally pee yourself in knickers in skirt or jeans in shoes leaving puddle under you? Is there any spot for you to squat from bus stop on your way home? For how long can you hold it when you sense first urge to pee? DO you ever pee outside out of pants?

I would like to agree with EmilyJH's mum mentioned a few posts back. If you wet yourself it is not too terrible. Most of the time no one will even notice.

The idea of hiding the fact that I had wet myself under a raincoat is interesting. I might give it a try when the weather is appropriate

I wet myself while I was wearing winter long coat but not on purpose then because I was in traffic jam in bus and when I finally got out after 90 minutes I was so desperate to pee and when I wanted to pee behind one trash bin I realised that it would take forever to take off coat (and I didn't know where to put it because there was snow and garbage everywhere) and was in warm pantyhouse and long skirt and during my undressing somebody would probably see me

I know what you mean Lynne. Me and a friend discovered how convenient these can be a while ago. I haven't worn them for ages but the cold snap had me getting them out of the spare room cupboard again. Oh well. now its milder I suppose I'll pack them away again, although I've only a few left. You forget how convenient they can be

Yes I do have a weak bladder and I was really glad of my tena pants during the cold snap. They saved me a lot of embarrassment. I bought another pack of 12 and I am keeping them handy.
