Don't do it without a prenup if you have more assets than they do. I know it's not law in the UK yet, but they are being taken more and more seriously.

No, it's not fair to men either- a gold digger is a gold digger . But women don't realise it can happen to them and nowadays many more women have good careers and therefore more assets when they get married.

Then they are just as silly as the men who get taken in by gold diggers. They should have prepared better. Pre nups might not be a legal document at the mo in England but there must be something you could draw up with a solicitor that will give (whoever) has all the pennies some protection. Then again to be fair, if the person who has all the money and the property marries someone who doesnt have any and no property and after 7 years it doesnt work out is it fair that he or she gets dumped back on the street without anything? They might not have contributed money wise to the house but they must have contributed something? I would only agree that it would be fair to boot them out with nothing if they sat on their arse for 7 years with no job and doing no housework or decorating (making the house a home etc) and having kids.
