I'm sorry I misread you. As to the question of why two looks better than one, I think it really comes down to whether you like the look of the jewelry or not. To me, two nicely spaced earrings in the same lobe looks very attractive. I particularly like the look of two hoops (the upper one smaller than the lower) dangling alongside each other, sometimes swinging into each other as the head moves.

I prefer the look of double-piercing on both sides rather than just one--I think that's the symmetry working.

Ultimately, it's your decision but I certainly would strongly consider doing something of this sort (no real burden on you) if it would make my spouse happy.

What do you like about more than one piercing? Am I missing something? I think that it really excites him; are all men like this or is it just him? I don't think that he is excited about any other jewellery.

Jolaya says that her aunt got her right ear pierced again. My husband wants my left pierced. Is there any significance in which side?

I've never spoken to my friends about double piercings. I think that because they don't have more than 1 hole that they would think that my husband was just odd for wanting me to have a second.

Please let me know what you think. I'm not going to do anything yet!

I am a male, I like to see doublet pierced ears.
I find it very sexy.
I hope that my wife one day will have doublet pierced ears.

Hello Silly Bunny

There isn't any significance in which side you get pierced again, everone has his favorite side. I think it looks very attractive to wear an additional stud in one of your ear.

A lot of mens like muliple pierced ears. When i tried to persuade my boyfriend to get his ear done, we talked about piercings and earrings. He confessed that he finds it attractively if a woman has muliple pierced ears, already the sight of an empty hole is exciting. I know many mens they are impressed of multiple pierced ears. I like pierced ears on men too.

If you are unsure with the home piercing kits, go to Claires, get one of your ear done and surprise your hubby. I'm sure, when you get a stud behind one of your earrings, some of your friends will get the same.

Hello Jolaya

I think that it seems different for me. You obviously like piercings. Did you persuade your partner to get pierced? I'd hate it if my husband got his ears pierced. It seems there is a difference between my husband and me. I expect that you a right about some men liking multiple piercings - I think that my husband is one. Should I really do this for him?

My ears are triple pierced because I like the look of three hoops in each ear. My mother pierced my ears the first time at age three then when I was in Kindergarten she gave me my second piercings. I added my third holes before I started college. My daughter is also triple pierced in both ears. We both enjoy wearing graduated (1 1/2", 1" &3/4") hoops in our ears daily. I believe any girlie girl would NEVER regret having multiple ear piercings.

Kindergarten is quite young for double piercing, but I do know some girls are double pierced that young. How old was your daughter when she got each of her piercings?

I first pierced her ears at age three just as my mother did for me. Then at age five she asked for "more earrings like Mommy" so I pierced her ears the second time. About two years ago at age sixteen she wanted third piercings so I pierced her ears & then she pierced mine a third time.

I pierced my boyfriend a hole in his left ear with one of my studs, but he wear his earring only few weeks. Four years ago, my boyfriend persuade me to get a third hole in my right ear. I did it for him, but we got our ears pierced together ( i got my third and he his first again).

Causes, questions and answers why you should do it:
- Are pierced ears still fashionable? When you go shopping have a look, how many women wear an extra stud in on of their ears? If you see a women with two studs, do you like it?
- You aren't sure whether it suits you? Mark a point behind your first hole, or get it done, if it doesn't suit you, you can always remove the pin. Few days later you will see nothing.
- Did it hurts when you get pierced ears? When you get pierced with a piercing gun at Claires or at the Jeweller, you will only hear a plopp when the stud went in. You wil only feel a light throb during the first hours, thats all. It isn't comparable with getting pierced by needle.

What do you answer to this questions?

You have to overcome your fears, then it's a little step for you, to made your hubby a very big pleasure.

Double, triple pierced ears

I disagree with the pleasing-your-husband thing. Earrings are something for yourself, it's you who should like the way it looks. After all you wear the earrings and you get pierced, not your husband.

Of course your husband can enjoy your earrings, but you aren't his Barbey doll.

Of course, he can encourage you to do something you consider but hestate to do. He can suugest - but it's for you to decide if you like it.

Today I pierced my right earlobe 3 more times, so now I have 4 piercings in my right ear and 2 in my left. A friend of mie did it for me with her piercing gun. It really hurts for an hour or two after the piercings, but then you can't feel anything. I'm thinking to get my right ear pierced from the lobe to the cartilage (just like Fergie's ears) but Im not sure yet.

What sort of earrings will you wear in your new holes? Can you leave them in all the time or do you have to take them out every day? I think it it would be hard work to keep putting in and taking out. How far up the ear can you go before the cartlidge starts?

Where on your ear can you get a piercing that can only be seen when you are wearing an earring? Is there anywhere that is invisible when the earring is removed?

Where can you buy tiny (less than 10mm) hinged hoops?

I don't think that any ear piercings are invisible. Why do you want it not to be seen?

I doubt that hinged hoops are available so small.

Here is a link to a source for 10mm sleeper earrings.

http://www.dermadoctor.com/product.asp?AID=4201&src=cse&ecamp=nextag&productid=1027

I doubt you are going to find anything smaller than 10mm unless you have them custom made. However, you can do a Google search for "sleepr earrings" (do not use the quote marks) and get many listing of places that sell small hinged hoops.

I'm interested in this as my previous postings relate to my husband nagging me to pierce my ear again. I don't think that I want the hole to be seen. Is it possible to get a 'secret' piercing on your ear?
